Good news surely. I wonder who will replace him and what their philosophies are? Be interesting to see what happens next. A lot of disgruntled Championship clubs who are not happy with distribution of TV money may want to pursue a premier league style breakaway.

Nice way to say sacked by mutual agreement just like DC. EFL going off in a different direction, is this the end of U23's in the Checkatrade? Off to pastures new in sunny Spain no doubt with the customary huge payoff "earnt" by the bonus for getting the obscene TV money contracts signed.

Since being on the board of the Football League Harvey has been involved in the dilution of the Football League Trophy and overseen the Football Leagues first betting company sponsorship.
Good riddance.

Lets see if anything improves.
I fear this could be a situation of cut the head off the dragon & 2 more grow back.
I'm sure the PL/FA will be backing someone who suits their agenda (EG U-23 teams, new division between 5th & 4th etc)

This is good news. Let’s hope he doesn’t get replaced with another absolute bellend.

Whilst I agree with the above sentiments not sure if his replacement will be much better. We dislike him because of the Checkatrade issue but I suspect he’s been manoevered out because he jarred off the Championship clubs over the recent TV deal. Those clubs were seriously upset over what they perceived as no consultation with them over the deal. They wanted a bigger share and more say over the deal. Were that ever to be the case then I bet it would be at the expense of league 1 and 2 clubs and the share of the deal. Whilst we fans might be against him over the Checkatrade I think the clubs themselves and owners might not be so against him, after all his deal has earned them more money than they might have got in the Trophy. I’m not disagreeing with the general mood about being happy he’s going I just think that us being unhappy with him is nowhere near the reason why he’s gone and that my concern would be that whoever is brought in represents all 72 clubs and not just the power-brokers in the Championship (or Premier League 2). Because if that happens then the whinges we have over U21 teams in the Checkatrade will seem like small fry compared to what could happen if the Championship clubs start to wag the dog. UTG!

The deal I believe is signed and agreed so it will now be a five years before it comes back up for tender, given we "only" get around £1m per season in Div 1 I can't really see there's a lot for the Championship clubs to take from us, it appears they were whinging as they considered the overall deal was poor not how the money was divided. I wonder what will happen now to next season's Checkatrade Trophy as I don't believe the EFL have a sponsor in place at present? www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/11/15/championship-clubs-rebel-against-590m-tv-deal-sky-anxiety-grows/

Remember the excitement when we got new owners? As others have said, let's see who the next incumbent is first before being pleased. It will no doubt be a puppet of the most influential championship clubs. I'd expect them to be fast tracking applications from 'one of their own' who has worked in a senior administrative position at the likes of Leeds or Villa and who has an appreciation that there is a hierarchy in the football league whose beaks have to be kept wet.
