Agreed.Never get having celebrations for staying up unless your the complete underdog since day one. For a club of our size and fanbase we should never have been in this position.Loved DC but something went badly wrong over the past 18 months at our club. With GC and the summer coming we must be aiming to challenge the playoffs next season. The state of the Mem and training ground is no excuse. Our home gates are nothing special and the size of the club, in this century, is small. Lower League 1 is our current level, not some romantic stuff about challenging for the Championship like we did some decades ago. Staying in L1 is a success to me. Bang on. The state of the ground and the trainung ground us a very good reason why we can't expect to progress. The New Camp is partly about us as supporters. We all want better facilities. But it's also about the ability to make more money to attract better players with. The training ground though is possibly even more important. This is the players day to day place of work and the facilities there will have a huge impact on the standard of player we can attract.

Ok your opinion which I respect but disagree with. We’ve got a mid table budget this season and we’re currently mid table so we’re doing about right. You can of course make the play offs with a mid table budget and sh**e facilities but it’s very difficult and if we made the league 1 play offs we’d be punching above our weight. Nothing wrong with aiming high , our club should be doing that but as a supporter I’m just happy to stay in league 1 for the foreseeable until if and I won’t hold my breathe we actually improve our ground / training ground situation.

Avoiding relegation certainly wasn’t seen as a decent target last August, but considering where we were at Christmas, it is a massive achievement. Without JCH’s goals, we would have been relegated weeks ago, below Bradford. It’s been a poor season on the whole and one we are all going to be pleased to see the back of. I just hope it isn’t delaying the inevitable, with a lack of investment in the club.
