Gutted, put a bet on when Brentford had decent odds! I also had them In as part of my 5 fold. Far from ideal.

I can't see any comedy value in Bolton players effectively striking, and Tom Nichols effect as a striker ..
Nope.
No sireee.
Or the parody of DC/GC and EFL forcing them to play..
Nope.
Nothing to see here.

And in all this shambles it is the true fans that suffer. Suffer? Not having to watch them lose again today is probably a bonus! On a serious note what's the betting next season they bounce back and fill the top 3 places all season just like Sunderland?

Makes you wonder what happened to the FA due dilligence into whether an individual, or group, can own a Football Club.

Only precedent was when Middlesbrough called a game off at Ewood Park but match was awarded to Blackburn( I think) and M'Boro were relegated.Suspect League will award Brentford a 2-0 win.Almost unheard of as even lower down the leagues clubs rarely call games off for other than weather however far the distance. Will Bolton begin next season with a points deduction?

Failure to fulfill the fixture is an automatic 3-0 defeat and a fine for the club, isn't it?
I thought Bassini (who boasted that he is a "multi-millionaire") has taken them over. Not a good start under the new owner.
I've got no particular like, or dislike of Bolton, but yet another club who've managed to dodge the tax man as a result of living beyond their means.
Sky Sports reported last night that the club has not been taken over yet they also said that Bolton could be thrown out the league ! Why cannot Bolton play there reserve/u23 team instead ? This article suggests the deal had been done a week ago, subject to EFL approval:

If a Club don't fulfil all their fixtures, isn't it the usual practice for their previous fixtures to be removed from the record and all the Clubs who beat them get the points deducted?

They have been told by the EFL,that they have to fulfil their fixtures, even if they have to play their U18 squad.

One thing that this mess has thrown up is fans need to be realistic in their expectations. If under the current format of ownership, promotion to and consolidation in, the championship is not possible for a club like ours.
Of course that is a tough sell to fans when you're trying to flog season tickets.

Wouldn't be fair to award other team 3 pts would it?dont think Bolton's remaining fixtures affect top or bottom but regardless would think all there results would have to be struck from records, think City would lose 4 and derby 3 back of the net,!but Boro lose 6?

Drop them down to the Conference. Make them start from scratch. Fed up with 'big' clubs being let off with miniscule fines and a few points deductions to then go on and make big signings and gain promotions.

Yes, except why should the conference have to put up with them? They should start at the very bottom of the pile, as has happened with the likes of Hereford and Wimbledon (who ironically should never of had to). After that disgusting club in the south of our city did the dirty this was never supposed to happen again, but the bigger clubs always find a way to riggle out of it. People say it's the fans who suffer, true, the fans of all the other clubs who are cheated by teams that don't run themselves in accordance with the rules. Don't forget Bolton got themselves promoted into the championship at the expense of other teams.

Oztumer has not had much game time this season - usually on the bench. Strange that a player with his talent cant get into a struggling side. He's not exactly a 'trenches' type player, though, is he? I bet if we had him here, despite everyone wanting him, as soon as we lost a game everyone would be complaining that he wasn't digging it out on our 18 yard line. Far too creative for our current set up!
