He didn't exactly rule out the Plymouth job. He certainly didn’t rule himself out and what I found interesting was the possible length of contract he has with Rovers. Geoff mentioned 2 years left which we all assume he has, but GC seemed to suggest that may not be the case, or did I hear that wrong? No, you heard correctly but I didn’t read it in the same way. I just heard it and thought he implied that in football the length of contract only means the size of the payout. For example DC had two and a half years left but still left. Just think others might be reading too much into the way he answers. Many have an expectation of what they think he means and fits that into what they want him to mean. Some want him to go to Argyle so they fit what he says into that scenario. All a load of cobblers imo. Regarding new players all he said was he had dropped into Sheff U and was going to drop into Villa (he hadn’t so far). GT mentioned Leon Clarke, not GC, all GC did was agree that Clarke was a very good player who would be likely staying in the Championship. It was a good, honest interview that showed that a GC is already starting to contact his contacts with a view to strengthening the team. That has to be good news. UTG!

Ryan Lowe of Bury now the favourite at evens.
Maybe the bookies and punters listened to what GC has had to say and have adjusted expectations accordingly.
Although to be honest I don't understand this betting stuff, since it's not really about the likelihood of something happening, but how the bookies can make the most money.

That’s why 99% of gamblers are down overall.

It makes sense now that Argyle suggested they'd be going for a manager in a job at another club. The odds then dropped on Coughlan when their target was actually Ryan Lowe

I think Steven Gerrard is a very good friend. UTG! He is, but it's still impressive how he managed to get a player like Rossiter to join them in League Two. I'd have Rossiter here without doubt.

Think Ryan Lowe has always been in the north, Shrewsbury and MK Dons is furthest south he’s ever been. Long way to relocate but if he’s ambitious it could be a good move. UTG!

Bury have given Lowe permission to speak to Plymouth now.

Chatting to a muff season ticket holder today and he’s happy with ryan Lowe...which I would be, exciting attacking football...he also said graham Carey is on 6k a week! He’s not worth that and Coventry want him..

David Flitcroft has been sacked as manager of Mansfield, which is a bonkers decision. Wonder if he will join the running for the Plymouth Job. Mansfield were top 3 for most of the season and only just missed out on automatic. Has a good CV for L2.

I wonder if DC's kicking himself now not waiting a week longer, as that job looks far more attractive for him. They've even got a new £2m training ground!

It's no longer good enough getting a team to the Premier League and keeping them there, or reaching the L2 playoffs, either of which would be just about an ideal season to the fans. Anyway, I'm glad it looks like GC is staying, just as he told us he was. I think he feels he has a further job to do here, having completed phase 1 successfully.

This is true... their have to pay big wages to encourage players to live in Plymouth with their family’s as a lot cheaper up north and they can step up to league 1clubs without moving their families..something we struggle with being down here...
