You said it...2+2=5. So in fact, I'm a genius who always knew what I was doing... 🧐 A fine line between genius and madness apparently.

It started at 250k and was 250k for a while. The worse he did it started raising to 350k. Frankly I don’t believe Bristol Rovers can afford £350k on any player. But let’s be honest, he’s hardly had a good season has he? It’s better, but it’s easy to improve on the worst a striker could ever really do I think it was evident how much better we looked when he was in the team to be fair. Yes the way he falls over, and gets pushed off the ball is comedy Gold (not)

I think he’ll probably go to a bigger/ better quality club in league 1 than us. Maybe one of the three that miss out in the play offs. Can’t imagine the thought of playing in front of an aging Craig minus Lockyer beside him fills him with the desire to sign for us. I was kind of right. Thought he’d go to someone bigger than gills but they have got a better stadium , probably got better facilities and probably offered him more.

It’s not down to GC’s judgement, we offered him a contract and he rejected it plain and simple. I’m sure some will use this to say that it’s because Rovers lack ambition but if that were true why would someone like Mark Little want to join us? Not sure you can compare a 30 yr RB looking for a club to a young up and coming goalie. Unless Steve Evans as convinced Paul Scully to open his cheque book this summer I'm surprised they can out bid us, when they're usually been one of the lower payers in Div 1. Disappointed for Bonham that he's signed for such an average Div 1 club having turned our offer down. Yes. Disappointed because as someone else wrote, signed a new keeper can often be a real mystery. No one has evidence to what we offered him and what Gills offered him. so in this case 'defending the club / GC' is just as errant as 'bashing GC / the club'. We simply don't have the evidence either way. What we can probably agree on is that people are getting jittery about this position so therefore him going elsewhere is a disappointment.

if it wasnt them it would have been another team that part of the country, we would have probably been right down there

Disappointed to hear this as he was very good for us and a good keeper is worth a little extra can't believe Gillingham have outbid us, but have to trust GC to find a diamond, plenty of options available. The Puddy Cat, WYHHB? Sadly Chippenham Town have just given him a new contract. #outofbounds

Really don't think loan is the way to go long term. We need a GK to build a squad around. Loan GKs are really hit and miss & can ruin a season. I'd rather have an experienced GK who's played at this level who we can build the defence around & build a more long term option, rather than changing season after season Our last two permanent 'experienced' goalkeepers were kept out by a young loanee. And before that we had Lumley. pretty much word for word what my reply was going to be...

Which just shows how bad DC was at signing permanent goalies, what the hell he ever saw in Puddy is beyond me, as soon as left us he returned to playing non league football.

Frank Fielding's contract up in July,31 and wants to go into coaching when he retires, do you think he could do good job for us and help bring through development squad keepers as well, or will he be aiming higher than tier 3? i know he is from the dark side but the last keeper we had from there worked out pretty darn good !!

Would be a good signing if affordable and he was prepared to drop down.

Nepotism - he played for Salisbury. Probably one of the worst goalkeepers ever to wear a BRFC shirt.

Good shot stopper according to one City fan I know, not so good on the high balls into the box. Probably would need a commanding centre half too.
