Fielding's only 31, which is relatively young by goal keeping standards, so perhaps a deal's already lined hence why we let Gills outbid us for Bonham.

Fielding Amos Macey Gerken Bunn I'd probably add Berger between Bunn and Gerken yummy! I think Patrick might be a bit old now and plus wasn’t he a left winger rather than a keeper? I know we are desperate but come on! Lol! 😜

if it wasnt them it would have been another team that part of the country, we would have probably been right down there Yeah but Gillingham though....even Wael turned them down!

English Football League Jack Bonham [Brentford - Gillingham] Free Mark Little [Bolton - Bristol Rovers] Free Joe Mason [Wolves - MK Dons] Free Callum McManaman [Wigan - Luton] Free Plus the signing on packages Often forgotten in the rush to say why we haven't signed "x,y & z" when they are free agents

Gillingham sound like Bury a couple of summers ago The difference is Gillingham have a manager that can get the best out of the talent at his disposal. Lee Clark is now manager of Blyth Spartans in the National League North.

Or you could look at it another way, a goalkeeper who kept 18 clean sheets last season, a 24 cap international who has played 86 times in the Championship and a midfielder that has played 78 times in the Championship and 14 times in the Prem.

Usually the best marker is recent performance, hence why I assume Gillingham are signing these players and not a top 10 Div 1 side or better. If Day signs tomorrow as rumoured I'd take our 3 signings over Gills.

He didn’t really do that at Mansfield leaving them on the edge of the play offs when they had expanded their budget to meet his need to buy lots of players. Despite a good start at Posh by the time Autumn came the wheels were coming off and he was soon sacked. Lots of publicity and I bet agents do well out of his clubs but I honestly wouldn’t want him near Rovers. I wouldn’t have said much difference between the two, Clark and Evans. UTG!

I wouldn't want him near Rovers and I don't rate him, but he does have 7 promotions on his CV. Maybe saying he gets the best out of the talent at his disposal was wrong, as he is a bit of a 'cheque book manager', but he does have a decent eye for a player and can put together squads that challenge at the right end of the table.

And in the end we’ll have to wait and see if all the signings that Posh and Gillingham have made are decent signings, they may well be but then again people were saying that about Bury two years ago and Posh this time last year. Perhaps one year it will work out for Posh, a better chance I suppose with Ferguson rather than Evans. But it’s interesting to watch and whilst I sometimes envy some well-run clubs I have never felt envy towards Posh or Gillingham. UTG!

Yes he does and I can agree with what you’ve said there, as you say he obviously has a decent eye for a player and can put squads together but he’s such an obnoxious character. I’m sure we’ve all got our Steve Evans stories. I was stood on the East terrace just behind the dugouts in Feb 13. Rotherham won 2-1 I think. Him and Raynor spent the whole match swearing and shouting at the ref or harassing the poor 4th official. John Ward just kept looking at them and shaking his head. It was an embarrassing spectacle from a manager and his assistant. That and what happened at Boston really means I’m probably unable to make an objective opinion about the bloke. You’re obviously better than me at that pirate!😉 UTG!
