2 goalies, 2 defenders, 2 midfielders & 4 developers then.
Other than Locks and Lines who we were aware of can't say i'm upset.

Surely a role can be found for Sinclair somewhere within the club, whether it's in a fitness role or Community role? Maybe he wants to continue being a professional footballer? Only 31. I hadn't thought of that. Good point.

So we're going for the tried and tested rush back goalie approach next season then.

So realistically what do we have? (assuming contracts are extended)
GK: Andre RB: Partington, Clarke CB: Craig, Menayese, Kilgour LB: Kelly, THD
LM/W & RM/W: Matthews, Bennett, Mensah, Rodman CM/CDM: Upson, Clarke, Sercombe, Ogogo
(Ben Morgan, Cameron Hargreaves, Zain Walker & Theo Widdrington I know nothing about)
FWD: Payne, Nichols, Reilly, JCH, Moore
Is that right?

Don't know why Mensah or Matthews are't included on the list of loan players returning. Assume they are both still under contract?

Lines, Lockyer and Leadbitter all leaving does free up a decent amount of wages if the rumours are to be believed. Yeah but looking at the amount of players going out, that needs to cover about 5/6 incoming player’s wages. No because you also have Smith, Slocombe and Sinclair's wages (Weird that it's 3 L's and 3 S's) that will help off shoot that. If Lines and Leadbitter's wages are used on 2 players that actually get game time then surely it's an upgrade because the other two weren't playing under GC?

Him, Lockyer, Lines and Leadbitter so isn't that the of conference promotion team? EDIT: Sorry we still have O.Clarke. Isn't it only OC and JC left from our League 2 promotion? Makes Tom Nichols our joint fourth longest serving player. And that is assuming that both Partington and J Clarke sign new deals.

So so sad to see Sinclair go. He deserves a chance for us Gasheads to say goodbye to him and show our appreciation. True legend of the club in my eyes. I've never seen a player bust a gut like he has for us over the last 5 years and he epitomised the change of culture DC cultivated after our relegation to the Conference.
I understand there is little room for sentiment and sadly he's been injured too often, but he's such a character and will be sorely missed.

Can't think of anymore. And I would assume we will look to offload Payne, Bennett and maybe one of Nichols or Reilly. Mensah and Matthews must have their futures here in doubt as well.

No real surprises other than Partington being offered a new deal but as most others have said, cheap backup option so no harm done. Really hope we keep James Clarke btw, POTY candidate and great versatile option across the backline.
Also pleased Sercombe is still here despite his poor season. There's definitely a quality L1 player in there, just need to get him back to his best.
Thanks for all the memories for those departing!

You won't easily replace Sinclair's commitment on and off the football pitch. Interaction and time he had for the fans. The Luton goal he scored was a fairy tale for him. Always showed 110% for the shirt whether he was cm, rm, rb, or up front (Swindon town) The missing fight that we hadn't had for years , the beard will be missed.
Wish him all the best .

Is Luke Russe still at the gas? Surprised he wasn't promoted to the 1st team squad this season just gone as he did very well in the couple of games he played the season before.

The thing is I can understand Lines and Locks but Sinclair is worth having around for his work in the community and as an example to young players breaking through on how to apply yourself

Lines, Lockyer, Sinclair and Leadbitter have served us incredibly well over the last 4 years, it’s going to be really strange not having them around anymore.
I hope every single player that is leaving at the end of their contracts makes a success of wherever they end up. Need to get the likes of Lines and Sincs back at the mem soon.

(which we can’t give him).
