What a turnaround from Derby, fair play! Football is amazing, so many awesome comebacks lately! Been amazing hasn't it. This must have inspired you Neil, there is still hope for you with that bird down the local chippy. You know the one with the greasy hair and spots, the one that blew you out last week. Get back down there big man, this is the month of great come backs.

Smaller well funded clubs continue to enter the league. Lets hope our owners get a grip of our finances as we arnt going to be able to sustain our current losses longterm Look at Field Mill. It only holds 9000 but it’s a smart little ground. Extend the stands a little into the corners, sort the near side stand out and add a tier onto one of the ends and it would suit us fine. Our ground is a shambles compared to most clubs in league 2, let alone league 1. The open side at Field Mill is about 4 metres wide then you go crashing down the bank to the industrial estate. and they still haven't opened the boxes up in the main stand

Games between these lot are always sh*te.
Watched these two play each other about four times this season and barely seen an entertaining 45 minutes.

Yeah tis a poor match to watch especially after last nights game. Someone should tell Pompey they are behind, thought they would go all guns blazing...

After last night's Leeds v Derby thriller all these two teams tonight seem to be intent on doing, is pushing and shoving each other. All this shows is the vast difference between the two divisions in my opinion.

Lee Brown sent us up say Lee Brown's sent us up!!!
So sad how the promotion team has just broke up. Could have been oh so different if we had backed DC properly.

Is it me or does Brett Pitman look like he's in his mid 40's?? Must have been the time spent with the teds that aged him!!
Best moment of this game was Cattermole offering out that Pompey fan.

Yes, that bloke in a grey tracksuit clearly kicked O’nien when he fell into the crowd. Think he was arrested!

Neither side played very well, lots of misplaced passes and no composure. I'd be well watered off if I was a pompey fan...they just didnt go for it at all!!

Looking at the rubbish served up by the supposedly 4th and 5th best sides in L1 Rotherham and Ipswich must think they are back up already!

Glad we didn’t sign Pitman in the end. Incredibly lazy and probably on a high wage. Shocked by the lack of quality Portsmouth had going forward, no surprise they didn’t progress. Sunderland not much better either over the two games they look lost without McGeady.
Based on the last few games Tranmere, Newport and Mansfield could more than hold their own in our division and probably wouldn’t look out of place in the L1 playoffs. Much better football than 90% of what I’ve seen from us and out opponents this season. Couldn’t really judge FGR being down to ten men in both ties but they had in particular one really good ball playing centre back that we should look at, left back was also decent.
Clear to me that the gap in quality between league 2 and league 1 is getting narrower and narrower, while the gap between league 1 and Championship continues to grow.
There’s even a group of teams that yo-yo between the Champ and L1 highlighting this issue Barnsley, Rotherham, Millwall to name a few. Just watch Rotherham win the league next season!

Got a feeling we could be watching both Portsmouth and Sunderland again next season in LGL 1 Think you may well be right Henbury. Charlton were the form team coming into the playoffs and I for one would have a little chuckle if the likes of Sunderland with their £15 million budget and £4 million Grigg fail to make it.
