I remember the 6-1 at our place in about 2012 too 😉 I think we were 1-0 down at half time. I sit behind the dugouts and your manager at the time said just before half time we were ‘the worst attacking team he’s seen this season’ Oh it was fun second half 😂 Remember back in 1983 Rovers offered free coach travel for fans to Walsall. A fleet of coaches went although it wasn't worth it as we were thumped 5-0. Was that the game when the very short-term manager Dave Penny said he didn't see that result coming? No polnt asking him for the lottery numbers then.

I think the sensible Walsall fans see him and his "project" as very much work in progress. He's bought in 15 players and is still rotating and experimenting with the whole squad, and he still wants 2 more players in before the deadline.
We were great yesterday, but at 1-0 we had a 20 minute spell of domination but couldn't get a goal. If we had, it could have been a different story.
We're not playing badly, just a little too conservatively so not creating enough chances. When we do we'll start climbing the table.
I predicted a late surge for a 6th/7th place finish and I've no reason to change my mind yet. I don't think many of our fans realise that Clarke's teams start slowly.
The negative Walsall fans moaning are most likely to be the extra fans that have re-appreared since our previous chairman left, and need a new excuse to not attend for the next 20 years, or until wexre next doing well again.

You will soon learn that is rotation is normal cus he ain’t got a clue and even when he’s got a side that wins he will change it again I wish you luck cus u r gunna need an awful lot of it this season to stay up

I was making the point that DC did and that the criticism of him is ridiculous.
Too subtly though!

Just because there were posters up at the training ground doesn’t mean 70% wanted him out. Perhaps a few, probably less than 100?Can’t tell can you really? Bit of an arbitrary figure? By the end of September after 5 consecutive wins it was all good, until Alfreton away!!😉 UTG! I’m mostly going from what I remember on the forum tbh, most seemed to want him gone. And within reason who could blame them after the last 8 games and first 5 as o2 (sorry mate your username is too long to remember) pointed out. But he also makes a god point, I actually think if we didn’t start so poorly, we wouldn’t have done as well as we did. As he mentioned, I think learning humility and accepting where you are is the first step to getting promoted. Fair enough. Not that this place is always that representative!😉 UTG!

I was making the point that DC did and that the criticism of him is ridiculous. Too subtly though! But he needs to repeat it or it'll just be seen as a bit of fluke, particularly after the, mostly, shockingly poor players he signed last January/summer. Walsall fans are already saying similar to us, JC is better CB than RB, and what does Since actually do but run around a lot.

So underrated it is unbelievable. Also not sure 2 promotions can be seen as a fluke but I'm too drained to argue after watching the cricket!

Another poor signing from him then no surprise. They are going to be in for a struggle this season
