You’ve got to get into the stadium debates knowing they won’t happen - it’s part of being a gashead! The hope! Lol!

The land values in St Phillips Marsh are all increasing because of the new university campus at Temple Meads. Loads of planning applications going for student housing, residential etc. If we can’t afford to develop a field we already own as a training facility, then I think we can safely discount our chances of acquiring a fairly large site in central Bristol.

Shame really as it’s closer for me

The only glimmer of reality in this claim is that the space restraints would require the pitch to be on an east-west axis, the worst axis for any stadium....
.....so yes, it's a plausible location for us to build a stadium as even the solar system makes it more difficult than it should be....

Isn't this the site that was to offered to the clubs to build a joint stadium or was that nearer Temple Meads parcels? The one the clubs turned down in favour of going it alone? One has certainly delivered...

Surely if they put the stadium on a West-East axis that would be OK?

One has certainly delivered... It was one of the potential sites looked at when the possibility of a joint stadium was investigated. The conclusion drawn was that there were no suitable sites within the City of Bristol boundaries. A conclusion that history seems to have concurred with.
