Would be relatively happy with this if it happens. Young player with lots still to learn but has shown potential in glimpses. Has the attributes to become a very good striker imo. The majority of the fan base, including myself have said they think the clubs transfer policy should be to sign young, hungry players in the hope to find a few gems that could be sold on for a profit and I think Alex Jakubiak fits that bill

He’s quick, young and a good finisher. Modern day striker, good partner for JCH. Power + Pace

JCH and Jak didn't spend much time on the field together last season, but when they were together I liked the look of pairing.

I think with loyalty like TN has been shown he could become a 15-20 goal striker easy

Bonham and Jak would be a surprisingly good start to the window for us.
No doubt those who don’t want us to sign him are the same ones who were so against Harrison (wonder why that is).
I see a lot of similarities between Jak and Ellis, both big and mobile units who with a bit of hard graft could be very useful at this level. Anyone at Oxford away this season would’ve seen the potential he has.
An on form JCH and Jak would be promotion chasing strike force imo.
Edit - as some have said very young as well. Ellis took time to improve. Also whoever said about the two goals scored ffs man have a look at his goals to minutes ratio vs a certain golden boy Nichols!

I don't really see the point of going largely with last season's awful strike force. We should get as many out as we can.

I can't comment on their abilities but in pure number terms wouldn't we have 5 first team strikers with Jak returning, which then limits any further striker additions? Presumably that would mean some going or as you said, same players up front.

I like Jakubiak. Strong, pacey and still young enough to go from a decent prospect into a good football league player.

Would you be happy if we got relegated because all 11 players were stealing a living in the position they’re playing in. I don’t like the endless criticism of some players. I quite like Tom, and think he’s a tidy player, and feel some of the criticism is unwarranted. But he’s not cutting the mustard as a striker and we can’t afford monetarily or risk wise to have a striker who plays most games and only scores a goal a season.

No doubt those who don’t want us to sign him are the same ones who were so against Harrison (wonder why that is). Nothing to do with race. That’s a really weak and unfair inference to make. I don’t think he’s good enough and there’s better out there. I’d have said exactly the same about Dom Telford who as far as I’m aware isn’t Afro-carribean and didn’t set L2 alight but somehow got plenty of gasheads juices going whilst here on loan and last preseason. I don’t get the fuss about either of them.

I'd be happy with this. I think the comparisons with Ellis are appropriate- for quite some time Ellis seemed full of commitment and energy but then profligate in front of goal, until he hit his purple patch. Jak needs a run in the team and to build a partnership with JCH and I suspect he'll score plenty. Also his positivity is infectious and very welcome.

I would be quite disappointed with this.
I think there are better options out there at the moment who would not cost us a penny in transfer fees and who's wages should be sensible.

Because he doesn’t ever score goals...and the assists is part and parcel of being a centre forward because most have a good assist rate along with a reasonable score ratio If you go to a restaurant and you pay for a meal and it’s not cooked your not going to say “don’t worry about that this is my favourite restaurant “

2 goals in 38 appearances and they both came in one game.
It's a no for me Clive.
