Daniel how long have you been supporting Rovers? During that time apart from at the Mem itself how many times have we land a suitable site for a stadium and obtained full pp? Unless we move out to somewhere like Avonmouth I'd suggest it's almost impossible to find another site within a reasonable distance of the Mem where we're likely to get pp w/o a massive fight/delay. Didn't say it would be easy, that's why it takes time. Plus we would have to see if we can get planning etc for the mem, or what ever we decide to do. It is a hard task, that could take years. But better than signing a bad stadium deal.
Depends what Plan B is, if there is one.

Think there will be eventually. They won't want to just carry on paying millions in losses every season.

That is also my concern given Knowall's connections, then again as debts spiral out of control perhaps they do have the club's long term interest at heart? And once you work/find that out, and I'm not posting it, you'll probably work out where the leak is coming from. The last part of your post I'm sure has merit to it, I have no doubt the PC do care, we all care about our club, we are all investors in it. But it also depends on the actions of the ALQ family. For example whether the ALQ's will write some of the debt as lost investment (some owners do that), whether it gets paid via a takeover (know-all alludes to),or if Hani refuses to underwrite the debt, or if we are actually and truly in the do do. The only person(s) who positively know the answer to those questions are the owners themselves, otherwise its pure speculation, even if it is based on some (mis)information given by a chairman with an agenda at play. Hamer, Masters or the old board??

Is Hamer standing for re-election? lol ‘re-election’ to the Rovers board is about as democratic as Kim Jong-Un being re-elected as Supreme Leader of North Korea! Correct but very embarrassing for the directors if they are defeated by a show of hands and have to resort to a share count to win the motion. It’s happened before when Geoff Dunford was Chairman when they even forgot to vote themselves and had to be prompted by the clubs solicitor.

I don't doubt that!!
The new stadium deal must have been really bad if losing £3million+ a year is a better option.

Do you have any evidence to back that claim up? We've simply no idea when a deal couldn't be agreed as Wael just hides behind NDA's, what is for certain is the UWE was a damn sight closer to us getting a decent stadium than anything Wael's produced. if Wael can't take abuse he should really sell up as, unfortunately, that goes with the job, as those being carried down Glos Rd during the good time. I am afraid abuse doesn't come with the job; that is just blatant ignorance on the part of those doing it. Constructive criticism is acceptable, but abuse not in my opinion something we can surely all agree on.

But better than signing a bad stadium deal. carefully avoided the question of how long you've been supporting Rovers or had knowledge of the club / it's workings. To be clear, I'm NOT suggesting your opinion is less important that someone who has been through the decades and decades of schemes, failures, homelessness and so forth, but as I grow older I'm genuinely starting to feel that fans with less years behind them are far more inclined to put up with the status quo and say that everything takes time. yes, I agree things take time, and there are clear examples of how SOME do take a lot of time (Brighton and Brentford being very clear examples, the latter of which I have hands-on knowledge of), but there are others that are much much clearer and faster and make our myriad of broken schemes, plans and promises look frankly pathetic. I think we can all agree that the UWE was possibly a once in a lifetime chance [have you seen how much most stadiums cost to build, especially compared to what the UWE was potentially going to be? AND in that position near so many transport lines] so you can't blame fans, especially older ones who've been through Eastville, Twerton and the Mem (plus all the plans and schemes...), for being seriously, seriously disappointed, and wishing for some information about what went wrong and how that may be fixed for ANY future development. Ditto the training ground. A very simple infrastructure project really. With lots of similar recent examples around that can be cribbed / learnt from. That really is a pretty basic project and really should have a clear plan / timeline, or even a simple statement that it is mothballed for another day, or very unlikely to happen. All this we have many 'balls to juggle' stuff is, well... I think you know the punchline...

Depends if they think they could find better within a certain time. If a different site would make us extra millions for years, it will be better in the long run. Obviously relies on us finding a new site though!

So come on then give us some idea of the cost of at least 30 acres to build the stadium and the cost of such stadium then, and this is the most important, where is the money going to come from,we are,in my estimation ,looking at upwards of 100m.The al qadis haven't got that sort of money to throw away so who are the mystery investors who have the readies and stupidity to put the money up,because they are unlikely to see it back.

Didn't experience Eastville, but did Twerton. Seen a lot of schemes not happen and I won't believe we will get a stadium, until I'm sat in it. Does not stop me wanting it though. Training ground we are using is ok for now, pointless waisting more money, until we have a stadium project, as we are losing enough money already. It's a myth that our training facilities are worse than everyone else's. But we can't stay there forever, so it has to be addressed at some stage. They have said it's on hold, until a stadium is sorted, so we have had a statement regarding the training ground.

We would either swop the land, for anther site. If there is a site the council have that is suitable (One rumour). Or we can sell the site for housing and buy another site (another rumour). We will have to find the build, but we would have Uwe, so it's no difference. Don't think the family will pay for the build, but they have lots of contacts that have a lot more money than them. Plus selling naming rights etc will help. Or we could take out a Wonga loan! Just guessing, but no different to finding investment for Uwe.

But will Hani continue to open the purse strings just to cover the yearly debt (which will surely be more when the accounts from the last year are published)?
I think Wael has bitten off more than he can chew; he got us on the cheap (he admitted as much) and now debts have spiralled to more than our only asset is worth.
I've said before if I were him id be trying to cut losses and get out, maybe he is trying to?

Well they still are at the moment. So you would assume they have a long term plan. I agree they won't want to keep paying our losses long-term. Which is why I think they are working on something. I think they probably would sell up, if they got an offer, as it's a lot harder than they thought. We wouldn't be any better off though, unless the person had mega money to waste. If they had, had enough already. The budget would have went down last year, not up. So I take that as meaning, they don't want out yet.

Selling up would get a lot harder the longer they leave it, unless they are willing to write off a lot of debt so potential buyers will be interested.
I hope they are working on something behind the scenes, but when you considering the colony ground is still to be built on, it doesn't give much confidence for bigger projects.

Seems like you "lol" quite a lot when you're typing out your posts 😉 Got to laugh, or I will cry! I know we need a stadium, we need other revenue streams. Just trying to help people see, it might still happen one day. Indeed it might. But not with the current owners. They say they are working incredibly hard behind the scenes though. Sadly no evidence of this incredibly hard work is available. But if you still have blind faith after 21 months of total inactivity since the UWE collapse, and it is a comfort to you, then fine.

My opinion, fwiw, is that the owners genuinely had plans to take us to the next level when they took over. The UWE deal was not going to be good enough to meet their ambitions, so they pulled out, thinking that there were plenty of other options out there. I don't believe they were lying when they said finance wasn't as issue. I think they believed it wouldn't be, although the necessary investors had not been found.
Then the ambitious plans were nipped in the bud,for reasons which have never been clear to me.
The training ground was mothballed, and Wael, as he publicly confirmed, went back to UWE (cap in hand?) to try and resurrect it, since it was by now the only deal in town.
By then we had left it too late, and UWE told us they were no longer interested.
So, in hindsight, pulling out of the original deal was a terrible mistake. Our best chance ever to progress was abandoned, albeit for honourable reasons.
That's how I see it.
