Seen some of the footage on YouTube. To me it's just a fair few drunken knob eds ruining it for everyone. Bottle throwing. Ffs . Idiots.. Police handing out some harsh beatings though . Probably undeserved for some people caught up in it

We had already made our way to the Dragao stadium, after spending a lovely day down by the harbour where the majority were congregated. Beautiful weather, everyone having a good natured sing song, locals and tourists taking pictures with fans & of all the flags draped everywhere. The police provided a watchful eye but no hint of disorder at all. It was a huge shame to hear it all went South. That’s not to mean I’m hugely surprised, the last 3 tournaments (World Cup anyway) have been excellent in regard to fan behaviour (Russia, Brazil and South Africa) it just always comes down to location. Anywhere England play that is warm, easy to get to and cheap, where a ton of young lads can treat it as their ‘holiday’, the combination of great weather, too much beer & possibly other substances, always produces the same result. The minority ruin it for the majority. The England travel club have done great things in trying to stamp this out, but at the end of the day they can’t stop people travelling & following the national side when they’re either picking up tickets from UEFA sales or purely coming over ‘for the crack’ and no intention of going to the game. The latter seems to be a growing trend these days. I will bet every penny I have that the loud, obnoxious, drunken thug morons will be nowhere to be seen in Sofia come October & Kosovo come November. Here’s to a great win this evening and securing our place in the final.

I had an argument with some guy a few years ago on a forum. He, as usual, blamed the police, the locals, opposing fans, anyone bar himself & those with. In fact he may not have done anything, but if some England fans think they can swagger about, drunk, bawling and swearing, acting provocatively, they shouldn't be too surprised if it doesn't go down too well. I doubt the EU will be sorry to see us leave, should that be the case. Sadly I come across them at Gas away matches.

Should have had the nations league finals in Baku. Would have avoided any trouble.

Truly embarrassing especially with that "don't take me home" chant. So, so cringey.

Liverpool and Spurs took around 150,000 between them to Madrid with a handful of arrests. What is it about England away that brings out these morons ?

I wonder if the CSF will be releasing a press statement? Total morons, thankfully the numbers are gradually dwindling as arrests and banning orders are handed out.

Young, dumb, knuckle dragging teenagers mostly who are trying to "fight" for their country.
All this "Ultra's" thing on social media that gets posted is what promotes it too.
When I turned 25 I couldn't even be bothered to be pushed about on the Blackthorn when we scored, let alone chase about trying to whack an opposing fan. I don't know whats up with some people.

The media will be pleased there has been some trouble. They've been talking about it a lot the past few days and will be glad to have their story.

And actually loads of good news stories too of fans drinking together, finding wallets in taxis and getting in touch. Seemed a good natured final, which is how it should be.

A lot of it is bravado and safety in numbers. I wonder how many would be brave enough to 'front up' an Eastern European hooligan one on one? I doubt many of our own spotty faced twerps in the Burberry and Stone Island would.

They think they can go abroad and just do what they want.

Liverpool and Spurs took around 150,000 between them to Madrid with a handful of arrests. What is it about England away that brings out these morons ? We’re there any arrests last night? Or are you actually saying that there was more trouble between Liverpool and Spurs than last night? One article I just read, stated that the police are adopting a stand off corse of action as to not rile fans, but when they have too, they’ll go in and clear/disperse the fans in the hope that it calms them down. Which worked, the videos being shown online are of course a small minority, but the police did their job, and England fans returned to that area once it calmed down. One thing we’re very good at in this country is blasting our own and letting a few idiots spoil it for the rest! A hundred or so don’t count for the 20,000 or so that are there!
