Christ alive this forum plummets new depths every week.
We sign a player ...people attempt to destroy their credibility.
We don’t sign the right players according to the experts
We dont sign players quick enough
When we are not signing players we dig up the same bollocks about the sodding ground.
FFS ....

Looks like the amazing building discovery isn't so amazing after all as there are a few that seem to know about the building, may not be worth spending money renovating it, will have to see. The club have decided not to rebuild the Mem due to its location in a residential area, we could double our gates if we had a new stadium and the local infrastructure just wouldn't cope with the extra traffic. The recent club survey shows that 80% of fans use cars to get to the stadium. Councillors did suggest that the old fruit market could be a potential site but although it is not in a residential area , traffic around Arnos Vale, Bath rd is awful at the best of times and on match day could lead to grid lock , so I don't know whether it would be a good site. Best location would be north east of the city close to the ring road and possibly a railway station. The club are looking at laying on a bus services to the Mem which they would help pay for to improve things in the meantime. No mention has been made of takeovers just a rumour best ignored. Based on what evidence ? Hull, Swansea , Brighton all getting gates of 6,000 before they got a new stadium . Were similar sized clubs to us.

It was well known to the club when two directors bailed the club out by purchasing the same buildings on a temporary basis around 15 years ago so that wages could be paid. I would suggest none of the old guard are around to have told the new owners about said building. If I bought a business witch consisted of freehold properties I would study the plans very carefully. Wael met at least one of “the old guard” following the take over and that person was one of those who acquired the Strathmore Road site for a limited time before selling it back to club. edit. Hopefully Wael knows about the other potential residential plot attached to the stadium.

Hull, Swansea , Brighton all getting gates of 6,000 before they got a new stadium . Were similar sized clubs to us. Add to that Huddersfield, Reading, Wigan, Doncaster and Rotherham all those clubs averages have increased and continued to be a lot bigger since they'ved moved into bigger and better stadiums. I think thats enough evidence to base it on.

On the old Titan Ladders site which is being demolished as we speak OT I bought a ladder by mail order, can't remember who from. When it arrived it was a Titan, about 5 miles down the road from where I live.

On the old Titan Ladders site which is being demolished as we speak Mendip Road? When did that close? It's been derelict for a couple of years now. Had travellers in there for quite some time. They've just started knocking down the buildings for a housing development.

That makes the UWE site sound perfect then! Good luck to the club finding another site as good in the NE as I'm pretty certain there's no railway stations near Emerson's Green etc. Although if the club hasn't even identified a site I can't see they can put any time frames on building the stadium.
