Would have either of them in place of Nichols in a second. Payne couldnt tie Nichols boots. Otoole is a decent lower league footballer similar to Nichols. I’m not convinced that if we swapped Nichols with otoole in this coming window o tool would better than Nichols has been for us in the first half of this season. The fact that 5 consecutive Rovers managers have picked him including caretaker roles suggests that he’s good enough for this level and plays an important part as a member of a top half league 1 squad. Couldn't tie his boots? Ridiculous. Two sh**e footballers. One scores the odd goal, the other doesn't.

To anyone who hasn’t realised yet. Tom Nichols has scored more goals in 2019 (6) than Stefan Payne (4)

The reality for Payne is:- You have to play for a proper team to count You have to be selected for the team to be able to score To play you have to be fit and not a fat bastard To score you have to jump or run To even think you might ever score a great goal is just laughable To think you are even a footballer is laughable We’ve forgotten all about you as probably Tranmere fans have as did Shrewsbury’s fans Who are you

You are correct young Socrates. One sh**e footballer, one good one. Both don't score many goals. Corrected that for you.

First we have to pretend he's been played out of position all this time now we have to amalgamate seasons to massage his stats.

It doesn't matter whether he's scored 4 or 6 goals. Both totals are lamentable. On the positive side he's a better footballer than Payne and has greater commitment to the cause. However, if we are starting to compare players with Payne the benchmark is ridiculously low.

Payne started today, Tranmere 3-0 down to Watford when he is hauled off at halftime. It has the desired affect, they come back to earn a replay.

Only league goals scored from open play should count when comparing players who bot play in the same league. I must admit Nicolls scoring twice the number of goals this season than he has in the past two seasons is remarkable.
