Magnificent. Let's hope the ECB and counties can build upon this to promote playing and watching cricket amongst the young and the various communities throughout the country.

Well I have watched some cricket games over the years but absolutely nothing like that. Well done England. Could have been scripted by Sylvester Stallone!

Magnificent. Let's hope the ECB and counties can build upon this to promote playing and watching cricket amongst the young and the various communities throughout the country. Let’s hope so. Was in Taunton last week watching Som v Notts and on the Monday there were lots of schools in for the day completely filling one stand, great to see and it generated a great atmosphere on the second day of a Championship day, usually a quiet day. Somerset have just emailed me to say they’ve sold out for all their home T20 matches. Don’t know about other counties, hope they are reaping the benefits as well. UTG!

No, I think his form really dropped at the end His brother, Coat, is quite useful and could be a useful addition to the squad.

Fantastic match and World Cup. I put a tenor on New Zealand before the World Cup started to win it. It was a win win game for me. Watched Somerset tie a county match last season. I don’t like cricket, I loves it. Ban me don’t care 🏴🏴🏴🏏🏏🏏🏆🏆🏆

Ben Stokes was found not guilty of affray so is entitled to earn his living as a cricketer; and some would say is a better role model for youngsters in the game!
That's my opinion and I am open to sensible discussion on the matter. UTG

As for his court appearance and subsequent not guilty verdict, I for one am quite prepared to accept that and good luck to him. We the general public are shown images by the media which quite obviously are not the whole story. Once twelve good true men and woman get to see all the evidence and testimony, a verdict is delivered and they alone are totally happy to give that verdict. I for one accept that just as I do for Ched Evans.

That combined with the catalogue of events since he's been a professional sportsman indicate to me a pattern of behaviour that I would hate to see young people making their way in life follow.

Of course it's still a disgrace the ECB are just ripping up the domestic one day format we have been the best in the world at for the past 2/3 years for their bullshit 100 competition

Anyone thinking its a good idea to follow the behaviour of any 'celebrity' is the victim of bad parenting nothing else. Growing up I was a fan of Mike Tyson, Ian Botham, maradona, Tony Adams, Paul Merson, McEnroe etc...I didn't choose to copy any of their behaviour, my parents taught me what was right and wrong. I watched and admired their sporting prowess not looking at them as some moral torchbearers or role model bullshit.

I spent a fortnight many years ago in Corn Street on jury service and have to say came across several "fuckwits" to quote you, in the dock expecting us to accept the most bizarre alibis when quite clearly the evidence told us a quite different story. I did not personally come across one who was a fellow juror, I might add. No doubt the odd one appears from time to time for jury service.

Well, yeah, when I was on a jury we had fuckwits in the dock telling fuckwitted stories, but we had fuckwits in the jury, believing them. Or even, as one jurist said, there's no way I'm finding him guilty, until around half three, coz I have some shopping to do. And she wasn't even the biggest fuckwit among the twelve of us good and true.
