Well done England, been best team in this format for a while now and worthy champs ,but we were lucky on the day, especially the over throws, and I did feel for the Kiwis, absolute gents in what must have been the most painful of circumstances, did not like the chat mid game that England would win with 20 overs to spare, only Steve Harmisson read it right that NZ had an outstanding attack and had posted a defendable total, how right he was , wish we could have won it 'properly', would have felt better, great respect to Kiwis, funny really cos if it had been the AUSIES, I would have cried laughing! hope cricket prospers from this at all levels ,would be good to see more on free to air TV but doubt it will happen with the money Sky come up with. now just the Ashes to go and Zummersets first championship! though Glos man me self!

Really weird, with the benefit of hindsight, that Santner, (I think) got out of the way and didn’t even try to hit the last ball of their innings......whoopsie!

If it ain't broke dont fix it. When we bought in 20/20 cricket, it wasn't broke and look how successful that has been! This 100 ball competition hasn't been bought in to replace 50 over cricket, its another cup to capitalise on the success of the shorter form of the game.

SSU, ''the shorter form of the game'' is a bit unwieldy.
Try......…....'baseball'.

What a great role model Stokes is for young sportsmen. How the hell is he still playing for England
Don't know what your problem is? He was found not guilty in a court of law.
What a surprise. Like they say “they always come again” www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/51248484

while lauding Ben Stokes as a cricketer of great talent and his part in England' success coupled with a lot of 'luck' , his temperament and personal traits are not imho worthy of winning spotty, when you have some one like Dina Asher put so much into winning medals for her country as well as studying for a degree and encouraging others for a fraction of the monetary rewards a lot of average sports man get she would have been a much more worthy winner, and what's more she did it all with the biggest smile on her face, a true sports personality if there ever was one, wish her every success in the future!!

You talk about stokes and attitude well how many times do we talk about our national football team lacking just that? I think the guy is the best player in his field of sport and deserved his Spoty! I even said hit as soon as his heroics during this years Ashes. Wish I would have put a bet on now.

Think he went short odds on after winning the ashes if I remember rightly. I know because I checked myself.

You’re probably right. The likes of Stokes should be moved to a dark corner somewhere.
