If someone would have said at the start of January on the last day of the window we will sign a player, he will be brilliant, he’ll singlehandedly keep us up, but then you may lose him cut price in the summer but still at a profit most of us would have grabbed that persons hand off the position we were in. If he has a release clause fine, sometimes you have to make these sacrifices to sort out the short term and to keep to your longer term vision.

Just been down the Mem to hand my season ticket back, saw JCH saying his goodbyes to the place, he got emotional when walking past the famous Bristol Energy Family Tent and the aura that goes with it.
As I was leaving I saw a brand new Mercedes with the registration of LC 7 pull up so make of it what you will.

If true this is yet another very sad indictment upon the club’s owners who have done very little other than ride on the DC success and then continually bring false dawn’s and calamity after calamity upon the club. Of course this might hopefully be yet more ‘Fake News’ - but hey this is Bristol Rovers FC - and the bad news always turns out to be true and the good never happens!! If Wael wants success this season, you hang on to a prize assets, offer him whatever the others are but tie him to a contract where both parties are mutually satisfied - but don’t hold your breath, yet another sh*t season??

We sell him on the cheap then get jakubiak In I can see it now typical rovers.
Before we have a classic Gaschat meltdown, should we wait and see if A: there is a buy-out clause & B: if there is, actually wait and see what it is?
I know, a lot haven't got the patience to wait, but try it!!!

He’s got a buyout clause in his contract? Very worrying if true, especially as knowing us it will probably be for much less than he’s actually worth. His form was middling to poor, prior to his move to us & he stopped banging them in after his honeymoon period. Don’t get me wrong, his goals saved our league one status but he stopped being prolific once we started to play ultra defensively and, I believe, needs to be in an attack minded set up and given the ball more often. I will be sad when he goes but I’ve been preparing for this news since end of last season. It stinks, all over again, that there is a buy out clause & that it would seem to be a known amount. Something is very wrong when agents are able to disclose the amount but deny it. How do you work that one out, bud?
He played 16 games, scored 6 goals in his first 8 games and 5 goals in his second 8 games. As for suddenly going ultra-defensive, we scored 9 goals in that first 8 games, and 8 goals in the next 8 games (plus 2 in the final game, which JCH didn't play in). Hardly any difference.
Anyway, even if we did suddenly go ultra-defensive, surely any striker is going to score less goals in a team that's less attacking?

He was carrying an injury from Gillingham onwards

It is, but not as good as the book as the Royal Navy played a big part but was missed off in the film.

6 pages of absolute crap with the usual culprits. When will you all learn to just WAIT and see what happens before spouting a load of crap. What will be will be. It has been proved over and over again that nobody got a clue what is happening and it is pure luck if somebody gets it right.
