Last year's kit did grow on me, delighted by the new kit potentially being a bit of a throwback.
I just really really hope we don't mar it by getting relegated in a re-imagined champions kit...

Like the idea of a retro 1989-90 kit, but please not the old badge! It was the dullest badge ever, whereas the one we have now is really good IMO.
Mind you, I'm too old to buy a football shirt now so provided the kids like it, that's what matters I guess.

Imagine if it is an exact replica including the sponsor. I would probably cry.

On the subject of anniversary kits, would love for us to play in a Watney Cup winners inspired strip to mark the 50th anniversary in 2022. Blue shirt, white shorts and socks.

It would be nice to do it for one season, since that period with Bill Dodgin and Don Megson was very exciting, and to me on a par with the Francis and Clarke years. For some of us that was the first kit we remember, and the epic league cup games will never be forgotten. But it's too long ago for most fans, and wouldn't be welcomed.

Sorry, but would never like to go back to the Watney Cup kit - we looked like a poor man's Everton! I started in the era of blue and white striped shirts, white shorts, blue & white hooped socks - nice kit but looked the same as Huddersfield, Brighton, Colchester etc. The quarters were and are different from anyone else and we should keep that tradition going.

1990 kit was my first ever kit. Design Windows was sown on and it was like running around with a cardboard sign on your chest. If it's a retro kit, logo and all, that would be fantastic

I think we need to confirm whether an all blue back is proper quarters or not.
I need to know whether I should be outraged or not
That said, what are the odds on this being one of the best sellers ever after people moaning it hasn't been released yet

For the reason you’ve just touched on.

Bit cruel to submit the new arrival to a life of pain with Rovers but you have to pass something on right?! Interesting point. My son was born and brought up in London. I decided to gently persuade him (well Stalinesque indoctrination) that Rovers would be his team. Cue 25 years of mostly pain. A friend of mine is an avid Nottingham Forest fan. His son (aged 5) is a massive Spurs fan. He said he didn't want to give him the burden of following a team that hadn't even played in the top tier for (now) 20 years. I've been expecting a call from social services for some time.

I don’t know why people are so bothered about what shirts we’re having? I’m more bothered about finding some decent players to fit inside the f**kers! Edit: oops swear filter is obviously having a day off, apologies sorted now. 😁

Think I still have it in the loft but may be a few sizes too small now...

I need to know whether I should be outraged or not That said, what are the odds on this being one of the best sellers ever after people moaning it hasn't been released yet Reminds me of 2001 when Celtic first went without fully joined hoops. They were merely horizontal lines. Personally I prefer a quartered back, but on this occasion I'm willing to look past it. I do hope we insist on using the old fashioned Football League sleeve patches though.
