I hope you're not going to become a board apologist now just because you seemingly have Wael's ear? Still no stadium news or training ground and a budget which has obviously been cut. I think the question is legitimate. The main problem last season was creativity and scoring goals and so far the manager has disappointingly failed to address that, despite all the early talk of "marquee signings, big players, big names." But, as we all know, talk is cheap. Nothing to do with it Wes. I’ll be as critical of the board as I was before where appropriate. But I’ve said my bit on the past and there is no point repeating myself. It appears Knowall only comes on here with “takeover news” citing people and dates that he is part of or when there is something to try and stir up the fan base. Mr Hamer is a fraud and is usually the source of such trouble. He does enjoy a whisper in the ear of a supporters club member, minority shareholder or a known forum poster to achieve his snakey tactics. Just calling it out. In Knowalls defence he hasn't moaned or mentioned the board at all. Just seemed like a fan discussing our lack of attacking options. Seems reasonable to me. I don't see the connection to his many board related posts?

By irresponsibly spending money we don't have? By failing so far to provide the stadium and training ground and failing to provide the creative and attacking signings that we so obviously and desperately need.
Remember all those stadiums & training grounds we had before they took us over........? No, me neither.

Obvious what will happen. Day before first match, Jakubiak will be announced on another season long loan.

But it's still all part of his anti ALQ's agenda as they won;t give the club away to his mates so they can try and make a killing as what he really meant to post was "Who's going to score the goals when our tightfisted owners won't pay for any forwards" Conveniently overlooking that around the time of the AGM he was banging on about our debts running out of control, now he wants the owners to spend money on forwards!!

Unsurprising really I suppose? a simple question "Where are the goals going to come from?" which I raised because I genuinely am worried gets such vitriol from the willy wavers Topper and 1981. The question did NOT include any reference to funds or any reference to the Al-Qadi's. And I certainly did not call anyone 'tightfisted' and am not wanting the Club to be given away to my mates (where did that idea come from?) In fact, the motivation behind my question is quite straight forward - Rovers have a long reputation of cultivating players who know how to score goals, and I wonder who and where the next one (or more) will come from. I am sure many on this forum can list plenty who over the decades cost the Club little or nothing but have certainly made an impact in the penalty box. Unfortunately, the likes of Ellington, Cureton, Roberts, Lambert, Walker, Smash and Grab and more recently Taylor and Harrison are thin on the ground, but they ARE out there somewhere. Can/have we found one/two for the season ahead? I do hope so. Finally, for the record, I appreciate the contribution the Al-Qadi family made when the originally bought BRFC, I believe they saved us from certain predatory creditors. However, I am now critical that they have demonstrated that they have no plan, or the money, to take our Club forward and knowing that there are others who can take over the mantle they should do what I consider to be the right thing and step aside. They will then be regarded as important in the history of Bristol Rovers.

I would to know what the club are doing right now, I am seeing quite a few are bringing in players today.
DC has been busy at walsall, even paying a fee.
Please Rovers with little over a week to the first game and we are not ready, someone say we DO have players coming in.

Ah I see you've read what he posted but added something completely made up by you in order to bash him. As long as we're clear how this works. Normally the phrase used is 'couldn't make it up', but it turns out you can! Happy days!

That sounds awfully like a libellous language. How do you "know" this to be true? Do you have some facts you would like to share to prove our Chairman is a fraud? (I'm no fan of his BTW). As for "enjoying a whisper in the ear... a known forum poster..." Surely that's you isn't it? I would conclude you're either being subtly ironic or hypocritical.

A forum user has posted on here that they have/had proof that Hamer was encouraging Masters leak stories through SC members. If memory serves it was in relation to, and certainly around the appointment of Stairnes. It wasnt 81.

I think most of our new folks have been players out of contract etc, so I am optimistic that there may be a rabbit pulled out of the hat soon by GC, obviously depends on JCH staying and not being sold , so either a creative midfielder or a striker that will may have to splash out a few quid on, I personally, would prefer a seasoned creative midfielder with some championship experience, may be too much to wish for with our wage restraints but here’s hoping! I still think we may see one, maybe 2 leave. Hope I’m wrong

It’s a long old season tbf, and there’s still over a month until the window shuts. Does it really matter whether we have every single piece of the squad in place by league game #1? I’m not sure many clubs in L1 or L2 will, tbh. I’m sure there’s still 2 or 3 more incomings to happen before September 3rd.

If the stories are true and our Chairman is leaking them (via whatever means)... then that's not fraud. Doesn't sound very professional to me. Perhaps it's down to frustration on his part. If the leaks were in relation to Mr Starnes appointment, then that is understandable (if Mr Hamer had no say in the hire and the roles and responsibilities of the incoming CEO). It doesn't make him a fraud. It doesn't make him poisonous. If he's leaking "un-truths", then yes - that sounds fraudulent. Def: "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain".

Appears there is one 'rabbit out of the hat' and he has proven already that he knows where the net is. A good start by Victor Adeboyejo particularly as he only walked in the door a few hours ago, will he prove to be what we were hoping for? Young, with an excellent background, we should all give him every chance and hope that he will strike up a good working relationship with the rest of the squad. Now..... where is the next rabbit?
