GC on Twitter with a rallying cry, which I totally agree with, way too much negativity around the club no matter what they try to do!

Is this actually him on Twitter or an article reposted there?
Yes- negativity is too much. We've had far worse problems than needing a pacy winger to finish off an otherwise decent squad.

I think people are under estimating the man management skills of GC.
The guy is a winner and I believe it will build a strong togetherness.
If he can get off to a strong start over the first six games we could have an interesting season

There’s a 4-minute interview with GC on the club’s twitter. He essentially says that it feels like the club can’t win at the minute, and that the fanbase needs to support the club much better than it’s doing at the moment.

Strange statement, how would he know/see this potential negativity?

Not sure why people are wondering how he can know this. The negativity is everywhere, all over twitter, the forums, in the background murmur of the crowd. People think it's their right to whine like children about every aspect of the club, and it is, but they should also know these things filter through and affect the team. It's extremely disingenuous to spend all you time whining, and then to pretend there's no way the manager and the players can know about it.

Strange statement, how would he know/see this potential negativity? I’d be amazed if someone who works at the club doesn’t read this forum & Twitter fairly often to gauge the feelings of the fanbase (which then presumably gets relayed to GC).

But how does he know there is negativity...he doesn't read this forum does he? He may do that weird thing people used to do and actually talk to people. I don't suppose we have any idea who he's met and spoken to over the summer. There are conversations going on that aren't recorded online

I think people can whinge & moan all they like on social media, it’s up to others to believe or not what they read. If GC is referring to this forum I would be amazed & would have thought he has more pressing concerns. IMO if the club hear negatively coming from the terraces, then they have issues.

It’s their default position. I blame Sky and its overuse of the tactical theme. It’s about players not systems.

That was aimed at all the Banned word Wikipedia search kings on here, the same shitters who questioned the JCH signing. The club asked him not to mention Knowall asking where all the goals are coming from, they had to edit that bit out where he swore and asked patience.
Get behind the club, stop being sneaky, picking on anything you can to ridicule the club, board, manager behind a user name.

“I wish people would get behind us and support us a bit better than they are.”
I don’t think there’s much wrong with what he is saying. GC did a tremendous job last season keeping us in league one and I think he and the players deserve support. That said, I think the negativity surrounds off field matters more than anything. One day we are published as having one of the richest owners in England and the following day we are labelled as ‘cash-strapped’. What’s going on?

Trouble is that the people who ought to hear it don't, apparently, come near the club anymore.

One day we are published as having one of the richest owners in England and the following day we are labelled as ‘cash-strapped’. What’s going on? And I think this post goes to the heart of the matter. we were promised a new stadium and training ground, desperately needed to put us on a par with other league 1 and most L 2 clubs, let alone getting us anywhere near the Sh1t and the tax-dodging, rosy- cheeked Lady Garden. We are variously told that were on the brink of major investment, that the family, want out, even some bollocks about a stadium on the Fruit Market site. What happens? Nothing. And so we prepare for another season at an antiquated shithole stadium with woooooo a big screen, which is approx one year late and will probably self destruct after a couple of months, if the other scoreboard is anything to go by. Its no wonder people feel negative, this club has so much potential just waiting to be unlocked. Please, FFS, someone find the key.
