I can quite well imagine that he loves the limelight and wouldnât want to lose that, in fact my opinion of him tanked not only because of UWE but also that speaking gig at the Coliseum. It suggests he plays up to his president status. Coupled with his role at the Jordanian FA, interest in Gillingham and shameless plugging with movie stars etc. He seems like someone desperate for any sort of footballing notoriety. Commenting publicly on a deal that wasnât his raises some questions, you yourself spoke of key players being sent in to have words. Although I accept the point about being outvoted. People like you were moaning, that we do not hear from him enough. That he only talks to the press a few times a year etc etc. Now he just loves the spotlight. For someone who lives the spotlight, he's not in it very much lol. He's always got to go to events, long before he was the president of Rovers. I love the gas, but he does not need us, to be in the spotlight. If that's what he wants. Well, the argument is a bit more nuanced than âyou say he doesnât speak but when he does you say he loves the limelight!â. Letâs not forget that Wael spoke to a load of stadium industry types at the Coliseum before he even spoke to us about the challenges of building a stadium and why the deal collapsed. So itâs fair to say he picks and chooses how and when he interacts. Eg he says a lot of stuff via DM to fans on Instagram, says nothing official via the website then pops up giving Rovers shirts to Will Smith. And him commenting on his deal to build a new stadium at the fruit market is great! Except...it looks like it wasnât his deal...and Iâm sure you donât need me to explain to you the ethics of commenting on someone elseâs deal and further, how commenting on someone elseâs deal could be construed as an act of sabotage...

I love the gas, but he does not need us, to be in the spotlight. If that's what he wants. Exactly this, he's hardly dripping out of the Ritz with a "dont you know who I am?" mentality. When he's at games he tends to tuck himself away in his box with the people he invites. Even when he faced countless questions when he first took over about his/families personal wealth he didnt discuss it. He seems to be a fairly quiet and unassuming person if you ask me. His communication to us as "president" of BRFC has been minimal. He interacts on social media with fans too, look at his instagram, and for someone who has, or not to be controversial, his family, a high net worth, hes hardly showing off his lifestyle with private jets, boats and gold hanging off his wrists like has become the custom for anyone on social media who appears to be doing alright for themselves. And because of that HNW and his other interests, he may get to bump into a famous person or 2, and why shouldnt he get a photo with Will Smith or Geoff Hurst or whomever he gets to meet. The Will Smith thing got us some alright publicity in my view.

Except...it looks like it wasnât his deal...and Iâm sure you donât need me to explain to you the ethics of commenting on someone elseâs deal and further, how commenting on someone elseâs deal could be construed as an act of sabotage... About the deal you are forgetting one important thing...his family own BRFC, and with the expressed permission of all the parties involved, it is his/families perogative to release/confirm/deny such news. I'm pretty sure that he wouldnt have said anything if they all werent on the same page and there was good reason for doing so. Some here have even suggested that 20man "asked all the right questions" so if it was a staged interview, logically then it must have been pre-planned. And in the grand scheme of things, who connects the dots of the deal is irrelevant, its whether the deal goes through that is important. The ones who worry about who looks good in front are the ones who have an issue with their own egos to begin with. If they are being renumerated for their services rendered, then that is their thanks and if they are involved voluntarily and want to tell the world, then clearly their motives arent pure to begin with.

I'm curious about this, perhaps someone can inform:
Let's just say this is all true, when the takeover goes through, who will own the Mem after we left? BRFC/new owner(s) or WAQs?
