He might be stuck with them but I don’t suppose there is anyone holding a gun to his head saying he must play them? Drop them if he doesn’t rate them. Persevering with dross cost DC his job. Let’s hope GC doesn’t make the same mistake. No one is un-droppable.

No doubt title of thread was meant to get a reaction which it has, whereas the hub of the thread can be justified the title can not and is disrespectful and uncalled for, GC is the manager of our great club and should not be referred to in those terms, whether we agree with him or not, he has earned our respect for getting us out the mire last season!!

Exactly as you and others including my good friend GHB have said the thread title is not acceptable. No doubt GC is doing what he thinks best even though lots of us are not happy, he definately should not be called a liar. Surprised the thread title has not been amended by the powers that be.

Wasn’t there today so can’t comment on the match. But why’s everyone moaning? Best start for three years we have a point after two matches! 😉 UTG! It wasn't great, but don't think it was anywhere near as bad as some think. A fully fit JCH and Adeboyejo up front should be enough to see us comfortably in mid table imo. Weather definitely dictated the selection today. One thing I noticed more than ever though was the people moaning about absolutely everything before a ball had even been kicked. No wonder the atmosphere was flat. If Rovers make you that miserable, why put yourself through it?! Yes, it was very negative on here before yesterday wasn’t it? Am going on Tuesday night for the Cheltenham match but was at AFCB yesterday and listened to them moaning the whole match instead. Modern football fans, priceless. 😉 UTG!

A win on Tuesday is badly needed, for confidence if nothing else. Being dumped out of the league cup by Cheltenham will not go down well at all, that being said I’m looking forward to it and hopefully celebrating a first goal of the season!

I absolutely guarantee if we were ever to get to the Championship or (pass me the meds) the Prem, there would be many fans eventually moaning about lack of ambition, tactics, team selection, ticket prices, spending too little on players, spending too much on players, yada yada yada. Football fans are often short on memory and high on entitlement. You'd probably find plenty of Stockport, Torquay, York, Darlington, Chesterfield fans who think "Bristol Rovers fans moaning? What have they got to moan about"?

Did you slag off Lambert and want him bombed out after his slow start? Just wondering! Well I can’t exactly judge him on games he hasn’t played yet either. We were warned when we signed him he was a liability and he was ball watching last week which we conceded from and he was lucky not to gift them a goal today? Not sure what you want people to think of him. I'd like 'supporters' to think - This is our player, let's see how he performs over the next few months and then make a judgement with our own eyes without being prejudiced by what supporters of his previous club had to say on their forum. It may sound idealist and i appreciate the reality is many prefer the attitude of let's get stuck into our own players. Never mind. UTG

He said if a player plays well he keeps the jersey or if they play bad or hand it back to him then they are out. So how is it our motm last week and even the highest rated player of the gas chat ratings last week gets dropped? And players that had nightmares last week like leahy also keeps his shirt and had another awful game today. In my opinion graham needs to think before he speaks to the media. So he’s lied because he hasn’t dropped players that YOU thought played well last week. But he did drop the gas chats choice of man of the match. How dare he not take notice of us fans. I think you might be a bit too full of your own importance in amongst all this.

My sentiments exactly, if you’re only prepared to turn up to have a moan, stay at home and make your old lady suffer with it. On a day when the wait for the big screen proved its worth as well. The pre match ‘classic Rovers goals’ vid was absolutely fantastic and the players pics appearing whilst their names were read out was also a great touch. I guess some people will appreciate absolutely nothing. What big screen? From where I was standing it was obscured and I couldn't see a thing Nick Day is a nice chap. I'm sure he'd have moved if you'd asked him nicely !!!

Talking of Cheltenham, when I saw they won 4-1 , I expected, and hoped to see that Gavin had scored a hat trick but surprised to see he was not even on score sheet! saving them for us perhaps?

He registered an assist I believe. Not entirely sure he’ll be allowed to turn out against us either, but we will see.

Bournemouth have maxed out their potential, we on the other hand probably have not. I would argue that this club deserves better both on and off the pitch so finding fault at this stage of where we are is understandable.

We have the potential to be a Championship club but I've no doubt if we ever get there, new stadium or not, we'd be among the favourites to go down. Even if it was expected I'd bet my bottom dollar that a lot of fans would be moaning that we're struggling in the Championship. It's the inevitable course a minority of every fanbase takes once their club stalls because people are too short sighted to realise that their club can't keep winning and improving all the time year or year, it's impossible. One day Man City and/or Liverpool will go through a bad spell and I bet there will be some advocating the removal of their manager when that happens. Nevertheless I agree with you that we are not fulfilling our potential as a club but at the same token I would say we ARE pretty much at our limit with the facilities we currently have, which in this day and age are not fit for purpose as they generate no additional revenue outside match days.

It works like this. Rodman has a slight injury. GC does not want to lose first game at home. He is still "saddled" with some of Clarkes signings namely; Nicholls; Bennet; and Upson. I suspect he would like all 3 to go but they cannot afford to pay them off, so he is stuck with them until they go. Then I believe we will see a much better midfield and attack next season. Good to know it was DC's fault. I'll WhatsApp him and let him know.

It’s a moot point at the moment, we’ll never be in the championship under GC as long as I’ve got a hole in my arse. I’m not even sure anyone can argue we *should* be in the championship. I can fairly confidently say we shouldn’t have such a motley crew of players though. We should be better than starting each season staring a relegation scrap in the face but unfortunately that has been driven by off field matters. The money the owners have put in since promotion has been badly mis-spent and we are still paying the price. Poor leadership from the top of the club too. We are badly run off the pitch and badly run on it. Things should be better than that. Average for me, even with our current facilities would be mid-table in league one and we are some way off that both off the pitch and on it, imo of course.

I am sure that TN is trying his best, clearly you don’t rate him but ffs you and others have to realise that DC and now GC pick him for a reason, but you being an expert know better..👏..🤪 No expert here, just pays me money and I think that helps pay the so say experts wages so entitled to opinion. Did I ever mention his trying? No. I mentioned his striking return, which you "and others" clearly neglect to mention. Unless you care to comment on? Na,I thought not. Plenty of time to think up sometime, but no...... snowflake yourself out of it. As we used to sing: It's all gone quiet, all gone quiet, all gone quiet over there.....so .... ...(you can add in the rest). Gutless, quiet and non existent.. Much like the Nichols himself. Begone.
