Captains don’t matter to all these so called pundits on here. Well that ended that debate today. He was at fault for the second goal. He was your right but he’s been consistently good this season. All of our back three have, when we’ve been poor as a team it’s been lack of creativity in midfield that’s generally cost us.

How were we terrible ? We had 3 on target btw - the 2 we scored and the one tipped round the post from Upson's shot in the first half. We had more corners, more territory and more possession. Annoyingly I can't show you the stats from BBC sport website (as I'm on my phone), but we had 1 shot on target. Our second goal was a definite own goal. If you don't think we were terrible then I can't talk to you about football. Wasn’t there today but I was also a bit puzzled by the stats. Only 1 shot on target according to the BBC but more possession, more corners, but sometimes stats at a match I’ve been at don’t tell half the story when you see them. Great point whatever else! UTG!

I too questioned the stats. We had a flurry of shots at the end of the first half which were blocked by defenders which I’m sure one was at least on target.

Thanks man, I didn't come on here to fight. I know scoring late to draw feels like a decent result but we're so bad currently. I get some people like GC but I just can't see it.

Why do we have to "like" a manager, surely all what matters is the results, apart from the Bolton shocker I'm not sure what manager we're likely to employ would achieve better results with the squad he's got to work with.

Hes effective at getting results but I cant believe anyone is enjoying watching us.

Baxtinho has asked me to elaborate..........simple an ex professional footballer and now manager values the Captains role, if he didn’t and it was just a formality role then he WOULDN’T HAVE CHANGED IT.
It’s hilarious that people think because the Europeans don’t value the role they think we shouldn’t as well?!
Different cultures, different football and intensity.
I am glad GC values the role, he made the right decision today, the man given the job has multiple promotions as a captain and ironically unbeaten with us in the role. Granted he was at fault for a goal today but it wasn’t the pressure of the captaincy which has ruined another player.

Over the course of the current season, Craig has played well. Yesterday the second goal can be attributed to a mistake by him. However, that has been a very rare occurence. It's a sad fact of football life that one mistake by a defender (or goalkeeper) can cost a goal. However, a striker can miss numerous sitters but score one in the end and be hailed a hero!

IMO he is professional, and now pretty average and probably past his best. But he can teach Kilgour who I hope continues to improve, but he has a costly mistake in him and that's never too far away.

I think the pressure of being behind saw the defence make a couple of mistakes where they tried to keep the ball in play rather than welly it out. Kilgour did an overhead kick before that that nearly put us in trouble. To be honest, we struggled at times despite have 3 defenders and rode our luck, especially in the first half. Keeper pulled off a couple of great saves.

Not only is he class but he is an ever present who goes about his business quietly. Great team player and perfect for the other youngsters. Always liked him because of his attitude. Similar to JCH and you can feel the controlled aggression inside that is bubbling there. Also Luke Leahy and Josh Hare (sad to see him injured) are stand out wing backs with a very simple job that they do superb. Defend when defending, move wide when we attack, be there to receive the long ball and then cross it as soon as you get it into the box. No huffing, no puffing needed. Both great crossers plus Luke can really jump and head the ball properly. I also think he should take a few of our free kicks that are within range but a little too far for others because I think he has a great left foot shot that he has hardly shown? Notice how our kicks down the line have improved so much this season? Because we do less and they rarely go out? We need to improve our throw in tactics as well; too many instant pass backs to thrower?Corners are so so; forget the short ones generally or do them but instant cross into box? UTG Also, failure to mark up at opposition throw-ins. Just wrote a similar thing today to this so Tony Craig must be consistent. If Boris can be voted in as PM then everyone has a chance of being manager? Put your hand up Tony? UTG
