I always look out for Rangers results and have done since the mid 90’s, off the back of the great Paul Gascoigne choosing to ply his trade up there. I’ve been up to see them play on only a couple of occasions. Yet I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m a ‘fan’ as such and have absolutely zero interest in any religious aspect of the Rangers/Celtic rivalry. It is as pathetic, as it is embarrassing. Though I won’t deny, a rare derby win for the Gers is most enjoyable GC’s comments didn’t bother me in the slightest as I recognise the context they were in all likelihood, given. I do worry for any adult that was genuinely bothered by the whole thing. Let alone wanting him removed from his post.

A number of Gasheads on the fans facebook appreciation site have been upset about Gc's comments regarding the glasgow rangers player. Anti irish/catholic and anti celtic comments. Appears to be a small group of fans who want him gone... Maybe so....but not sure why his daughter is a target for the mentally incapacitated nuggets. It all makes sense now, when you stoke up ‘that’ rivalry it’s going to push the sectarian swivel-eyed loons over the edge. Not that there is any excuse for the abuse but it certainly shows how ill advised GC’s unfunny joke was. The club should definitely act if they can in terms of trying to identify the culprits and GC should keep his club allegiances to himself.
