The fact has hasn’t signed a contract extension is a slight worry, but the injuries he has carried this season may put off some Championship clubs in January. I guess it could also depend on what sort of parasite of an agent he has as they will be looking for their pound of flesh the money grabbing shites.

Imho it all depends if JCH and his Agent of course , wants to grab of big bucks that will surely come there way. Or will he be happy to be top dog at the Gas?...if I was I were him I would be be happy to big centre of attraction and getting further plaudits and recommendations from outside sources . But sadly , if not in January but certainly end of season he will be on his way .

He’ll be gone now or on 6 months. Money talks in a career this short. Love him or hate him MT is now probably financially very well placed for life from his contract.

We are 5th in the league and have a very good chance of promotion at our current run rate. Beat Ipswich and even automatic promotion could be a possibility. If JCH stays there is a possibility we can achieve that and that is our bargaining chip. With Taylor the difference was we were an outside shot at the play offs, 9th 2 points off if memory serves me correctly. If we are top 6 in Jan we have a lot going for us.
Incidentally, on that same persons twitter he has reported Ivan Toney is an £8m target for City. I wonder if that's true....??

If he ends up in the Championship with us then great for us, but not much more money for him at a guess. Move and it’ll be far better financially.

He's gone, I hope I'm wrong , and his injuries put some off, But, It's all about money. And in fairness who can blame him if he get 10k+ plus somewhere else. I would sit on the bench for that . That's modern football I'm afraid

I think if he put his mind to it he could be a Championship player, but I have watched the last two home games and he just doesn't look fit to me and is carrying to much weight. It makes you wonder why Mark Robbins who knows something about being a striker didn't seem bothered about keeping him at Coventry.

If we are in the mix he ll stay GC has got the best of of him, where other managers have failed. He will go at some stage but I think we have never seen him 100 of cent fit, when that happens he will be even better.

He is doing all the work up front for goals. If we did go up we would be an attractive club for younger prem loan players.

If the club gets an offer in January that reflects his value he will be sold. The money would be very useful in offsetting some operating costs. GC would get a few bob to find another miracle striker. IMO if JCH does stay beyond January he'll be off in the summer to a higher placed club. Can't blame him for going. His status in the game has been greatly enhanced at Rovers and his goal per game ratio is attractive. There is one potential problem. His fitness may be a concern to prospective buyers. He has missed a lot of games this season and has looked somewhat laboured for many of the games he has played.

Another thing to take into account is prize money from cup runs. Let's say we win round 2 & 3 ( difficult I know ) that;s another £200 k plus round 1 prize money : T.V deals and attendances. We could be looking at £300k plus getting to round 4. Also we made £65k so far in old J.P.T cup and another £50k a win from round 3 on.
Any lower league club with ' un-budgeted ' extra money can inflate fee's for players. If we suddenly have £500k coming in January for cup runs. We can say to clubs " We want more money ". A good cup run can also make it more attractive to keep players. I think he's probably off in January but I would want £2 million plus ( un-budgeted money ) as opposed to £1 million plus. A good cup run will focus attention on our club !.
