Ollie.
Brought the likes of Roberts, Cureton, Hayles, Ellington, Walters etc who were a joy to watch and memorable performances like 6-0 away at Reading and 4-1 away at Stoke.

I loved what DC and GF did for us but for the time, the era, the cup runs, the always being at the top of the table in the promotion race, the exciting brand of football it has to be Bill Dodgin. And his no nonsense, common sense approach in what was a very different age. UTG!

Gotta be Mark McGhee for me, never seen a man treat a full time position with such disregard before, must’ve had balls of steel!

For all the bad stuff that’s happened when you read the posts on here and the managers we’ve had you realise that we’ve had so many great and good managers with the occasional very bad one in between. Bert Tann, a great manager with enormous integrity over the bribes scandal, Fred Ford and Bill Dodgin great men, Don Megson, Bobby Campbell, Bobby Gould, Gerry, PT, DC, John Ward all good men whose teams I enjoyed watching, usually! All of those had enormous respect for Rovers and knew how lucky they were. We’ve had a lot more good managers than poor ones I think although not all managed to get some degree of success. Buckle and McGhee were the ones I didn’t like because I never thought they respected the club or treated the job in the way it should be treated, but that’s just my opinion, others may have different views. UTG!
edit: how could I forget Harold, top, top man and very underrated manager in his time. A very good man-manager I suspect.

I liked Bill Dodgin, John Ward, Bobby Campbell, Bobby Gould, Harold Jarman, Paul Trollope - but favourite has to be Gerry Francis (first time).
