Nah he was a keeper - good on crosses. Went on to be a great physio - some say he performed miracles.

Nah he was a keeper - good on crosses. Went on to be a great physio - some say he performed miracles. Was good at catering as well. Managed to feed the whole mem with 5 loaves and 2 fishes...... At £4 a pop. Now that's good business.

Bill Dodgin, Rovers finished in what would be a playoff place in his seasons, he brought in Don Megson as player coach. And the best win, draw. loss of any post war manager. And it was great to watch.

Bit before my time that one. Between Don Megson & Gerry, as they took us to the second tier. Probably Gerry, for doing it against the other lot & winning the league. But as someone who got back to back promotions & really connected with the fans, then DC can’t be far behind. The run to the fans at Wembley, the run down the touchline after Browners winner against D&R, the speech at the Vic.
