Does anyone think that maybe the reason is because fans are fed up with the sh** facilities and lies from the top, that's why I dont go anymore, I was a season ticket holder for years and never missed a home game and used to go to quite a few away but I have had enough, let's face it, the ground is an embarrassment!

On the flip side, MK Dons are one of the worst teams in the country on home soil, yet look at their set up? Give me a winning team in a dump of a ground, over a shocking ‘relegation fodder’ side playing in a glitzy premiership grade stadium, any day of the week.

The new bars are nice, club shop is nice, flat screen by the South Stand is nice, apart from the god awful toilets, it's not bad enough to stop me going to watch them, and I certainly don't decide whether to go or not because of the owners.

Agree 100% with your ground assessment, you forgot the muppets who own and run the club as well At 2 pm on Saturday not a pie to be had in the East Terrace....

Yeah the pasty huts etc are still something we can improve on. We sell out of things too easily, there is no organisation, sometimes there are 2 queues and it is not clear which queue is for which. It is not clear what we have sold out of/still have in stock. The card machines often don't work. All this while there are about 4 or 5 people stood in the huts serving, half of which usually look like they are just standing around.

I’ll probably get torn apart for this but will just give my honest opinion here.. after GC was given the job permanently I was very unhappy, and by the end of the season I had no interest in renewing my season ticket.. but I ended up doing it anyway, and this season even sitting 5th right now I think we’re a rubbish footballing team and I get extremely fed up of watching just about every game, despite what the league currently says I still feel like not renewing next season, I simply don’t like GC, I don’t like the football, and I’m not entertained in the slightest, just my opinion and not stating any of this as fact so I don’t care much for anyone’s counter arguments, even tho I’m sure I’ll get plenty, nobody is gonna convince me otherwise. I love the gas but I’m tired of sitting in the stand wanting to hand myself

Same as that , I don’t go to football to cheer on the owners of a club or look at the shiny stadium or admire the toilets I go to support the players on the pitch.

‘Not liking’ the manager is still my favourite reason for not attending matches. Especially when they have yet to meet or speak to the guy in person themselves. I know this because GC is an extremely likeable individual. His appearance/words at the Diamond club lunch more than proving this. Humble, respectful, down to earth and single handedly making Rovers a solid top 10 club this season. Top 6 well within our grasp as things are currently going. As I’ve said in previous weeks, it’s a textbook Mick McCarthy/Ipswich situation. Be careful what you wish for & in the words of Hudson Snr way back when, “don’t be so *ing ungrateful”

GC does what good managers in every industry do - they make the best of the resources they have. May not always be pretty, but to score 4 goals twice in a month ain't bad. I would humbly suggest that you enjoy the GC winning mentality - you never know when it will com to an end!

It's all about winning. If you want free flowing high tempo football, support Liverpool or a n other glory team.
This team has shown some real resolve recently against Shrewsbury and Portsmouth. The horror or Coventry away is being put to bed by grinding out results sometimes against the odds.
I still am in the sat on the fence brigade but will give GC the credit he deserves for what he's done in a short period with the same players and seemingly limited resources.
RagBag Rovers are sort of back. I will take the quality of football for the 3 points when they come. Sooner that than play teams off the park with possession football and lose.
No one likes an heroic loser.

Problem is what do we want attractive losing football or grinding out results winning football. I'd imagine we'd take a reasonable following to Ipswich on Saturday, would most of them bother going if they knew we were likely to lose heavily whilst playing attractive football?

Many fans didn't like Aaron Lescott, but he became a legend (modern definition). Many fans didn't get Tony Craig, but he is now a hero (modern definition). I fully expect Graham Coughlan to follow them.

Being embarrassed (modern definition) by the facilities at the Mem is just an excuse. 2 hours in the fortnight and you're embarrassed. Hypersensitive, anyone?

Was chatting to a couple of Plymouth supporters at the cup game who ventured to the 'superstore' Seemed very impressed and surprised that we had a decent shop in a crap ground. I asked about their new stand and got the reply that it's purely for the corporate market and nothing for your average fan who just wants to watch a game and have a pie & pint. That's the way it is
