He is certainly on twitter and fans have complained about this decision to him. His response was to suggest that you take it as an opportunity to try out another part of the ground.... Anyway - if you feel strongly enough about it you can always drop him an e-mail: tomgorringe@bristolrovers.co.ukAnother part of the ground....how insulting. How about not trying the ground at all!!!

Still struggling with the idea of (continually) closing this part of the ground. The small cost of opening that part of the ground v the long term effect of getting supporters backs up when we are needed more than ever.
I (and others) buy a Season Ticket for that part of the ground and when it comes to watching one of the potentially bigger matches in this season the Club deny us an opportunity to watch it from our preferred vantage point.
I can see some logic for the other games - but a 3rd Round FA Cup game? Really? A real numpty decision.
You got to wonder why we bother?

I thought west enclosure was open - A load of stewards were sat in there watching the last cup match

I thought west enclosure was open - A load of stewards were sat in there watching the last cup match Correct - they were there to keep the fans out. Apparently the club has decided they don't need them.

Just emailed MR G. Not expecting a reply but, at least I have tried to get a concern registered. My first written complaint since I watched my first game in 1967.......

I thought west enclosure was open - A load of stewards were sat in there watching the last cup match Maybe we should have a permanent stewards-only enclosure. Bet we could save money on that coz it wouldn't need much stewarding.

Another part of the ground....how insulting. How about not trying the ground at all!!! So he's basically claiming it was a success ?

The only time they proved useful was when of them in their yellow jackets acted as a good decoy versus Peterborough - one of their players mistook him for one of their own and pinged the ball straight out of play. Excellent!

Just had virtually an instant reply from TG. He says at the present time they have only sold two hundred tickets for the tie. He has been in discussion with the powers that be about it, but until ticket sales pick up things stand as they are. Perhaps sales would pick up if all parts of the ground are available? I won't be buying one as things stand at present.

Completely out of touch with the fans on this. Well if anyone else's online ticket account is anything like mine, there are no tickets available to buy. Only have bought 3 season tickets this year, but can't buy 1 poxy ticket for an FA Cup tie. Go figure.

You have to suspect that the West Enclosure will be sold in the January window.

Must admit, looked at my account earlier and thought the same.
