Ah, another midfielder. Probably a good idea to bring in another left back whilst we're at it.

Whilst undoubtedly a good player, especially a few years back - I can’t see where or how he’d fit in to our team ?

If the money is right could be a good addition to the squad. Doubt he’d start every week but a lot of games coming up and an experienced head in the dressing room

Another midfielder seems on the face of it to be pointless, but someone like Ledley could bring much needed experience and leadership that we are lacking at the moment. Slotting in alongside Grant or McCormick he'd be a good option.

We all get a bit excited about these seasoned pros that come in occasionally and rightfully so! Even if he never wears the blue and white quarters, having him in the building will be good for the squad.

I think he would be a good signing on an 18 month contract if he can prove his fitness. I expect either 1 or both of upson and ogogo to depart in the summer which would leave us with no experienced senior midfielders. I think he would be perfect to guide the crop of young midfield talent we have at the club already as well as providing a different option within the squad.

Definitely have him on a short term deal, he’s got bags of experience which could be crucial in helping us avoid relegation.

Could do wonders having him work alongside the younger midfielders. If he is looking upto it in training then there is no harm in offering a short term deal until the end of the season with a view to extend it by a year.

Ledley could bring that experience into midfield that we lack. A player like Josh Grant could learn a huge amount from him. There is also the dressing room where he could build morale. Hes played at the highest of levels and internationally. It would be a similar signing to Wally in 99-00 where his experience and positioning made up for any of the pace that he had lost.
Given we have lost Ogogo to injury which is a shame as he was excellent in his first game back, this could be just what we need just to take a bit of the pressure off our young lads.
Hes certainly a better player than Upson.

He was a better player than Upson, is he still? Otzumer has not been the stand out player that was expected by some.

He has good games here and there but is usually outfought, outthought, has lost his box to box ability and isnt anywhere near creative enough. Oztumer has been excellent when he has had the team playing to his strengths, which is into his feet, higher up the pitch, but hes useless when you play longball, because hes 5ft 5.

Quite like the option of a short term deal to the summer with a year extension if he proves his fitness, BUT that means the one spare squad place is gone so not available for a striker should one magically appear

Hes certainly a better player than Upson. Their was a marked improvement in Grant's game when Ogogo returned to the club. Having experience around the training ground as well as on the pitch is crucial, especially as midfield seems to be one area we do lack some leadership. I'd be well up for having Ledley signing, he's also doing his coaching badges so potentially a new voice around the training ground could help even if not officially a coach.

Just a thought, but any obvious connections with any of our managerial candidates?
