2 striker in once Nichols goes, 3 if JCH does as well. A right back and a Cm if we can. JCH has moved 4 times on deadline day by the way JCH won't move 4 times this deadline day 😜 He barely moved four times yesterday.

We clearly need two strikers assuming Nichols will leave but I wonder who'll want a non scoring striker, if JCH leaves then we'll need three. We also need to finally replace Lines but I fear Barrett's his already been signed as his, cheaper, replacement. I can't see with Little almost fit and Hare back in training we need another RB. Getting strikers most be the intention this week not getting in even more defenders? Let's hope Sercs has done is shoulder like Anssi or we could be in even more trouble. Regarding the final sentence why are you hoping that Sercs has done his shoulder like Anssi? I see examples similar to this littering the Forum and it leads me to believe that the English Language is evolving in a rogue fashion. Similar examples make it difficult for the reader to easily understand the meaning. Has anyone an explanation?

Did anyone notice that when JCH was 'subbed' yesterday, he didn't clap and say goodbye to the home fans?
I would've expected him to, if he was off to a new club, bearing in mind how good a relationship he's had with the fans.

This doesn't make any sense.'

I agree, but the look on his face wasn't confused, he seemed to just accept it.

Perhaps he's as much in the dark about any potential move as we are, after all we didn't approach is last club until transfer deadline day.

That's also a distinct possibility, but it struck me as odd that he doesn't even have an inkling 6 days before the window shuts.

Thought it was inevitable we would lose JCH this window, but if scouts were at yesterday’s game I can’t imagine a club playing a massive fee on his current form. Will they take the gamble that he gets his form back on a par with before? Ideal situation TN and KB out and a new striker in. Scouts won’t go off of one game though, he’s still got 22 in 39 games and his agent will be saying he’s been unsettled, unfit, poor facilities, bad supply line and the clubs had 4 managers in a matter of weeks etc. Personally think a team like Charlton will move for him on deadline day when they are desperate to get someone in, wouldn’t be bad for us either as we would get the biggest fee possible then True, but if they have watched over the last few games I can’t see them splashing big money on him especially with the injury record this season and his form whist at Coventry. If he goes, then let’s hope it is early enough to get a replacement as we are totally exposed up front.

Ins
A couple of Strikers, maybe on loan like: Folarin Balogun (Arsenal), Ryan Edmundson (Leeds), Ryan Cassidy (Watford), George Hirst (Leicester), Jamie Soule (West Brom), Jay Stansfield (Fulham), Ellis Simms (Everton).
A Right Back like Luther Wildin from Stevenage, or someone on loan like: Ethan Laird (Man Utd), Vontae Daley-Campbell (Leicester), Kayne Ramsay (Southampton), Jude Russell (Crystal Palace), Cody Drameh (Fulham), Henry Lawrence (Chelsea), Cameron Coxe (Cardiff).
A deep lying playmaker like George Glendon from Chester, or someone on loan like: Dylan Levitt (Man Utd), Miguel Azeez (Arsenal), Jake Cain (Liverpool), Harvey White (Tottenham), George Moncur (Luton), Callum Slattery (Southampton)

Let's look back to the dying days of GC. We had a good goalkeeper and a good striker (when fit). In addition, goals were sprinkled around the team and the defence was frugal. The net result was fourth place.
Now? The same striker is not scoring goals (even missing from the spot) and the goalkeeper long term injured.
It is very possible that we have found a replacement loan goalkeeper. The defence of Kilgour, Davies and Craig are now fit and available.. The striking options are very limited and that needs rectifying immediately. If JCH stays one striker needed; if he goes two needed.
Surplus to requirements: Bennett, Nicholls, Reilly and Kelly. Don't hold your breath in the interest for these players.

Billy Sharp has been told he can leave Sheff U.
Defo won’t go to a premiership club. At 32 probably would end up at a bottom half championship club but he would defo have a good 18 months in L1.
Wages might be a problem though.

John Ward's failure to sign anyone contributed to us dropping into the Conference.Hope we don't make the same mistake again to halt the slide.Wouldn't it be great to see us actually score.

I'll have a pint of whatever you had at lunchtime if you think we've any hope of signing Sharpe, given all BG's other signings so far have been young inexperienced kids from Championship sides. With the likes of Nichols told we do one.

Watching the Shrews vs Liverpool game and Curtis Jones and Neco Williams impress me.
As regards Sharp, an experienced forward who can still get in behind is exactly what we need IMO. I’m not saying we could or would sign him but I’m sure he will be on the radar of lots of clubs in our league.
