But has anyone actually offered 1 million for him or put in an official bid? Bristol Live started this rumour and they are about as reliable as a medium talking to dead people. Perhaps they haven't, if they had would he really bother turning up to train for the last 2 days and risk getting injured, I could only see JCH moving to Charlton if Taylor left and there's no real signs that's going happen today, apart from more media hype. (I guess the story has had us all clicking on the BP website every hour or two, so it clearly worked for them as click bait!!) Very true, and no doubt they were clicking on Ali Durden’s twitter to try to get updates.

It doesn’t mean anything if there are no bids yet. All it will take is one of the clubs at the bottom of the championship to sell their main striker at the 11th hour and then it could all kick off. We’ll only know he is staying at midnight.

Garner is hopeful of one or two incomings but isn’t expecting anyone to leave at this point. Where on earth is the budget for this coming from? I thought we were skint? It's because we sold 4 of our best players. Did you not see the update from those in the know, just before the window opened.

I don't get why folks want to see JCH leave. Yes he's out of form at the moment (not sure he's yet fully recovered from his injury tbh) but the whole team had been out of form of late!
He's a proven goal scorer for us and when he's at his best he's unplayable. Think how long it has taken for us to find a decent striker whist we've been in L1. Do you really think we can replace him with as much talent before the window shuts? I doubt it very much!
I would much rather keep him until the summer and gamble on him returning to form at some point.
Even when he's not 100% he's worth having on the pitch and I think he will suit BG's style of play as well as he suited GC's. At the end of the day if he's in the box and quality balls are fed to him then he will put them away.
In JCH I trust.
UTG!

Totally agree, yet some posters here would seem to prefer goal machine Nichols to stay instead.

Bit out there but Charlton’s chairman put out a tweet that says the first person to guess their next signing wins a prize, and the only replies to the tweet that he’s liked are people saying it’s JCH

Bowen’s move to Hull expected to take all night. Expect Hull will be in for JCH at the last minute.

Well one of the the last Gaschat ITK “Facts” I recall on here was that GC left because he was told , in front of 100 witnesses, that 3 or 4 first team players (or some such crap) had to go. Thing is I can only recall one witness coming forward with this “fact”. Ah well....

GC was content to jump ship for some reason, perhaps he was told that in the hope he'd leave as like most of us Wael had grown tired of watching GC's (lack of) football at the Mem. GC was clearly pretty annoyed about something at the end of the Ipswich game. Although I think the suggestion was 3 to 4 players would be leaving, not "best" players and that's more or less happened anyway.

You could hear how much he missed his family, during interviews. People were moaning that we were going to sell 3 or 4 player's. That implies good player's and not replacing them. Otherwise went were they moaning about it??

"We understand Charlton came in with an informal offer of around £1million which was accepted by Rovers, but when it came down to the nitty gritty of submitting a formal bid the Addicks went quiet, and there have been no talks between the clubs today much to Rovers’ surprise and frustration.
Looking more and more likely he will be a Rovers player at 11.01pm by the minute, but never discount how desperate clubs can get at this stage of the window so JCH leaving cannot be written off yet.
In terms of his quality, obviously his form has dipped dramatically, but not long ago he was carrying Rovers clear from relegation and dragging them up the table almost single-handedly."
BP seemed to have changed track again!!

I cannot see us letting him go without signing a recognised goal scorer. Shall we just have a little faith in BG and TW to get someone in? After all, they might just working hard behind the scenes to achieve that. UTG Crikey, all that trust. That is what normally hurts the most, the continuous let downs. Only a bit of positivity in what is a generally negative subject. UTG

BP seemed to have changed track again!! Was that under the headline "Former prem team offer millions for star striker. You won't believe what happens next!"? I genuinely get more useful information from gaschat than Bristol's click bait factory.
