A lot of things have gone against garner which were beyond his control since he arrived.
1] he walked into an injury crisis.
2] He had and has a serious ongoing family issue.
3] The star striker lost his scoring boots.
4] New signing daly got injured training.
5] Josh barrett are 50 pork pies before signing and bunked off training with reading for 2 weeks.
I thought tonight was a decent result but maybe its just not meant to be with garner with rovers? Personally i hope he is given more time but can understand other opinions.

Hmmm. Not that you'd expect it to be but it's not very clear what's happened there. Good to see that other major cities have similar (poor) standard of local empty newspaper articles.

Feel worse for those spending hard earned dough following the Gas up and down the country to watch this utter tripe. It wasn't that bad tonight. Too many missed chances. Yes i thought we were much the better side and created all of the chances. If just one of those had gone in then we’d be celebrating and saying bring on Blackpool , beat Blackpool and season very much alive etc But we didn’t score , even though we had a hatful of chances. I don’t blame Ben Garner for that.

Last chance on Saturday or he must go You're getting more positive. Are you giving him 4 days rest from the mud slinging?! If we don’t win sat that will be 15 games without a win , he has brought new players in now to play pretty football, but he don’t play em , so that’s a waste, and yet still trying to get the old players to play a style they are not used to. Confused, com

All the more reason for easing in the changes rather than trying to play Champagne football straight away with a side more suited to a rough scrumpy.

There is pod cast called under the cosh, it’s ex footballers telling their story’s, one thing they all seem to agree on is Megson, hated by most disliked by the rest, one even tried running him down, others have slapped him, if he didn’t get on with BG is a plus point for Ben..

I really fail to see where this idea BG "is trying to play champagne football" comes from. The style has changed for sure but it's hardly a passathon. It's the same as this idea the players have lost motivation when the fight is clearly still there. It's just lazy projections aimed at simplifying the problem and making Garner out to be some kind of wrecking ball who can then be personally vilified.

I don't feel sorry for Ben Garner, results hmm are not good...but I see this as a long term plan, the players he has brought in when they have played have looked good and expect more to follow.
There is deadwood in the team, we can all see it but we couldn't get rid of everyone in January. I am not going to name names, just have to look at tonight's match thread to see get an idea of who needs to go. I have accepted we aren't challenging for the playoffs, we clearly aren't good enough, but we aren't going down.
I will put my head out and suggest that we will start to put a run together that gives the side some confidence and can build for next season.
Trying to be positive, its is hard after such a poor run, but I think we just have to take our medicine before it get better.

He destroyed any sort of confidence any of the players had. His job is to motivate them and make them play/feel confidently. It is literally all his fault. I don’t feel sorry for him at all. When he eventually gets sacked he’ll have made his money and taken his nice pay out. He won’t have to worry and support the club in the tatters he left it in. Yeah poor Ben, really feel sorry for the bloke. It's all his fault that out players have missed chance after chance the past couple of games? Come on..! His spell here has been awful but we have looked better the past couple of games. BG can't stick the chances away himself though. Did you see the game? We were awful tonight. Wycombe was the only outlier and we lost 3-1. Today we were back to usual with a good 15 minutes and crap for the rest. There are no more excuses. He’s absolutely crap and has to go.

I did see the game and thought we played uite well and dominated the game for large parts of it. Did you see the game or did you miss the many good chances? Do you put those missed chances down to BG's managerial ability then?

He signed 7 players in January. A lot of those were injured before Ben came in and we were just fine. 2. Fair enough. 3. He lost the strikers scoring boots by having the team play football that never gave the ball to him. A good manager plays to his best players, or he’ll, any of his f*cking players strengths. Ben has done the opposite of that. Did the entire rest of the squad also lose their shooting boots as well? 4. Yeah, the 2 games Daley has missed that he’s been able to play in - out of what, the 13 games Ben has been here? 5. Barrett has been unfit for years according to other fans. I doubt he put on all that weight after a fitness test and before the Stevenage game. He knew the problem and signed him.

Do you put those missed chances down to BG's managering ability then? I did see the game. We had a good 15 minutes before Tranmere controlling a good part of the end of the first half. A draw was fair. Tranmere were by far the better team 2nd half before we decided to finally start playing in the final 15 minutes (god knows what Ben does at half time). I do put those chances missed down to Bens ability. He’s the manager, he has to own it. He chooses the squad, he destroyed their form, he set them up, he is supposed to give them confidence, he trains them, he coaches them. So yeah, if we miss a load of easy chances, that’s as more on the manager on anyone else. JCH and all of our players are on the worst form we’ve seen them in, pretty much as soon as Ben came in. Don’t you put that down to BG’s managerial ability? If no, what do you put it down to?
