What ever the formation is, if we are going 4 at the back then Craig needs to be dropped.
Personally I would go back to a back 3 and keep him there with Rollin and Alfie and play wingbacks.

Leahy isn't good enough and opponents seem to have sussed him and take full advantage and yet he gets picked constantly.Weird.Ollie should be dropped for Agogo and that lack of creativity in midfield is a major factor in our demise. Was expecting some sort of statement this morning.Training must be a bit depressing with our continual defeats and inability to even score.Dreading Southend. Agogo won't be returning.

Can't drop Craig, assuming JCH is out he's most likely to score. Perhaps it will be best to pick a team of defenders and try for a 0-0, Southend would never expect that.

It is an absolute joke that with just one win in 17 and that was against ten players for half the game that the same players appear week in week out. Why bring players in Mr garner if you aren't going to play them? Ollie Clarke and Leahy are IMO total liabilities and are like playing with nine men.2 wingers are both a waste of space because our midfield are not capable of bringing them into the game so all they get as regards service is the boot ups from our defenders and goalkeeper! Personally assuming JCH is injured on Saturday I would go to attack Southend and press up on their defence Blackman O Hare or Little Kilgour Harries THD Bennett Barrett Upson Mitchell-Lawson or Ginnelli Rodman Daly subs- Any of whats left! Without any of the slow ones left in the back four we can afford to press from the front and push up Stevie boy. You are losing the plot. Where is your best mate Craig Waigy in that line up. He should be captain.

Soz,realise it won't be a one match ban as I'd hoped but our midfield is so bereft of quality I just wish we had more options.A 25 year old Chris Lines would be nice.

3-5-2
Gk: Blackman RCB: Kilgour CB: Craig LCB: Harries RWB: Rodman LWB: THD AM: Barrett DM: Upson AM: Sercombe ST: Daly ST: JCH
Harries, Barrett and Daly are our players so may as well put them in now and get them up to speed ASAP. Would play Hare at RWB but think Saturday would be to soon, would be on my bench though.

pirate, Playing rodman because he is the only player we have who can win the ball in the air and Abrahams looks too lightweight. As regards anyone not being able to play in a two, its just nonsence as if you press up on your opponents you wont end up playing in any particular formation. Its all about mobility and ability. I would rather see BG trying something different and losing than using the same "tools" (and I use that politely) every week and losing. Bennett was included in the squad because seemingly his attitude has changed in training and therefore he deserves a chance the same as anybody else. If we are paying him £4000 a week then he may as well earn it. He couldn't do any worse than the tripe that those players dished up on Saturday. Barrett doesn't seem to have much "mobility" at the moment due to his larger frame and there is nothing at all to suggest Bennett's attitude has changed. He's had his chances and been as ineffective as always.

Ogogo has 2 more of a 3 match ban to serve. Then he is still on 9 cautions so one more in either of the first two games he is back will mean another 2 match suspension. Upson is also on 9 cautions. The cut off for the two match ban for 10 cautions is 37 league games - so Upson has to avoid a yellow for four more games, and Ogogo 2 games assuming he is picked again as soon as his current ban is finished.

I had a text during the match from a friend who was stood in another part of the ground.
He's previously played as a striker at a reasonable non league standard, his view - 'Abraham is fast becoming the worst striker I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt'.
Also, if Bennett is the answer I have no idea what the question is.

'Abraham is fast becoming the worst striker I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt' I think Luke James & Bradley Goldberg would have something to say about that.

Just three questions:
If we play 4 at the back, which competent fit (for 90 minutes) right back can be selected?
Why on earth would we consider playing Bennett ever again?
Are our midfield dynamos on performance related pay in accordance with number of yellow cards accumulated?

Yes we must have two strikers on the field, too early to form a firm conclusion on Daly but for the short time on Saturday that he was on the field I really liked the look of him. Anyone with news about the JCH injury ?

According to the Manager Bennett came back into the squad because he has shown an improved attitude in the last two weeks in training. If so then why not give him another chance. It is not as if he has committed a crime by not being willing to take a huge drop in wages to play football a division below. Its not his fault that DC decided to give him a huge contract on £4000 a week. I agree he has been pretty crap iin other games this season but certainly no worse than Ollie Clarke all season
