So they're going build this arena in the filton airfield. So would it not be s sensible place to stick our mythical stadium also, has it been discussed and dismissed already and I've missed it? They will have the infrastructure, parking, rail link etc, seems like an obvious choice to me.

The area on the airfield which is going to be called 'brabazon' I believe has already been planned and they are building it.... So although a decent site in principle as you say, doesn't matter now.... www.brabazon.co.uk/

Let's be honest, we won't be getting a new stadium under this regime. Can't even sort out a new training ground let alone a new stadium. The only thing they appear capable of building is the embarrassing eyesore family stand/tent.

Unfortunately, it is a fact that some 20 years ago Roy Redman (a director at the time) was in discussion with a view to buy and convert the Brabazon hanger into a stadium for Rovers - they were not interested then, but how forward-looking was Roy?

In fairness Filton airfield has been mentioned again and again over the years as a potential venue to build a new stadium. For one reason or another that opportunity has slipped through the net and we'll come to regret it.

Sadly everyone and his wife have been in discussions to build something, somewhere for Rovers. The discussions aren’t the hard part.

You only have to drive past the bit of scrap land that we bought for our ‘state of the art’ training facility to know that these owners aren’t going to be delivering us a stadium. Reading Wael’s comments from his interviews soon after the club was taken over make me cringe.

Does anybody really believe that the current owners are bothered about a new stadium? I suspect they were originally interested but with the passage of time their initial enthusiasm has evaporated.

It might well be an excellent place for a stadium except: YTL own the site and will make lots of money from building houses. The land will probably be worth millions of pounds per acre and we can’t afford to build a training ground. Or a stadium.

We probably won't get a new stadium under the current regime, however, the training ground has no bearing on that. They said it was on hold, until a stadium was sorted. When we are losing as much money as we are, that was the right decision. So even if they were looking for sites and had backers in place, we still wouldn't have built the training ground. We need to sort out, where we are training next season though, if we haven't already.

"Moving in March 2017". Ha. Talk of Category Two as well etc. Pure fantasy.

I don’t know if I’m being stupid here but why does not getting a stadium sorted have any bearing on building a training ground?
