Ashton scaffolding? We sure about that? Em, did anyone see that video clip going around last year of that bellend nearly drinking himself to death? A young lad being egged on by 2 others all wearing Ashton scaffolding tops, downed a pint of whiskey in one and then a pint of vodka in one straight after! the next thing you see is him being rushed off to hospital by ambulance, Dam bunch of clowns! I bet that was great for business.

You thinking permitted development? It would appear that the barn we are converting and a red brick building, were given permission for conversion to 3 dwellings in 2015 under permitted development rights. The combined area was given as 427 square metres, which is under the limit of 450 square metres. As assembly and leisure also seem to fall within permitted development for agricultural buildings (assuming I’ve interpreted the document correctly), then it looks like we’re all good. The previous application for conversion to residential dwellings would have been given permission under Class Q whereas we are proposing a gym and presumably other facilities which must come under under Class R of the GPDO. If the building was over 150M2 a prior approval application would be necessary so I would assume it is under this size. There is an allowance of 500M2 overall to use under this PD so some leeway for the buildings on site.
