Think Ronaldo might be past it now. Plus probably too old for Garner.
Maybe someone like Mbappe?

Henderson released from Rochdale? Isn't that their top striker? Presuming it is, I'm baffled by that. Wouldn't mind him here either! I would take him. Still fit as a fiddle and doing the business even at his age. Quality player.

Will be an excellent signing for whoever gets him. 16 goals this season, 21 goals last season and 20 goals the season before that. Callum Camps would be a good option from Rochdale. 8 goals and 8 assists this season.

Do that and we'll soon be back to having £20m debts, next time we won't be able to clear with Mr ALQ's money. Pretty clear Wael's going for young players he can sell on, just have to hope there's a mix of experience.

They often buy promising strikers for around our transfer record, or higher and then make a profit on them. They paid around £700,000 for Toney and he's worth a lot more now. It's more of a gamble, but that does not mean we shouldn't ever break our records, if it's for the right player. Plus now we are debt free, we can reinvest any money we receive. So if JCH was sold for a million, then there is nothing stopping us breaking our transfer record on a replacement. I agree we shouldn't waste money for the sake of it. But if we sell JCH, or even if it's a deal for the right player, I wouldn't rule it out.

Any funds will be available for reinvesting but we are still losing money so that will still need to be managed. Also, as soon as we start spending 'big', asking prices and agent demands will also increase. Football inflation.

I'd sooner not think about us selling JCH (or Kilgore) both are worth more to us at present than we'd get back on transfer fees, next January might be different when we're top 3! The long term plan might be to sell players for £m's buy for £100K's but it's OK having a plan making it work is another thing. One player we don't seem to be getting is the Pompey LB but I always thought it odd BG would want another LB. the72.co.uk/174169/portsmouth-in-talks-with-defender-over-new-deal-amid-bristol-rovers-links/

Depends on how long they have left on their deals. Hopefully we gave them similar to Rodman and Bennett etc. If a club comes in and the player wants to go, it can be hard to stop them. It's going to be an interesting summer that's for sure.

I’d go for Jamie Cureton, Rickie Lambert or Matty Taylor.
If not, I’d probably go for someone like David Pipe.

Rochdale are seriously worried at the effects of this Covid19 and throughout have been struggling with the financial aspects of the crisis. So I’m pretty sure this will have been a financial decision above a footballing one. And in the end the survival of the club will trump keeping a goal scorer perhaps. But it may impact on them next season. They obviously don’t have an owner like ours who can write off and capitalise a debt of £18m!! Blimey, I never thought I’d say that about owners of BRFC. UTG!
