The Bristol Post (Bristol Live) commented on the new stadium in an article this morning : "Speculation is rife on social media that something is imminent, but Bristol Live understands that not to be the case, though the outlook is a lot brighter than it has been for several years." Bristol post is probably the only source that is less reliable than speculation.

To be fair, the Bristol Post didn't get the board/debt reshuffle, or the training ground news. True. Although if you do have a contact in the FM deal and they’re telling you it’s not sorted yet, then that also can’t be ignored? Also, Starnes was quoted as saying "if all goes well, we hope to be able to announce something in the next few weeks". The "if all goes well" being the key here. It could be that the rumours and the BP are both true to a certain extent.

This tweet means nothing, just the same as any rumour on here that someone discusses elsewhere, citing this place as the source!
Not getting excited as City will gazump us for a arena for their basketball team or something.

mrwarboys is quoting something he saw on twitter. He's not claiming that he doesn't follow football. Correct Antonio, It was the guy that tweeted it who didn't follow football, myself oldgas, I saw my first Rovers game in the 70/71 season and been a supporter ever since that day, popped on here due to being bored in isolation and locked down, wanted to keep in touch with what was going on within my club, anything else just ask!.

The bloke seems to know it has definitely been sold, but doesn't know if the buyers have anything to do with us.

I’ll believe it when I’m sat in it. That's not actually how you tag posters. You have to put the @ in front BelieveItWhenIAmSatInIt

I asked him the question, his reply was
Adam
@ob_14 · 2m
Replying to @brfcfansonline Just someone that I know who is very ITK on this. It’s not rumours, it’s fact. Still a long way to go on the project but the first obstacle (the money/deal) has been agreed

I don’t know anything about land values or purchases, but for anyone that might, is £75m a fair price for the land or not? To me it seems like a mental amount of money but I’m none the wiser.

If true that a stadium related deal has been done with FM, I would imagine it is for more than just a stadium and may include relocation costs for the businesses there today. Pure speculation on my part as trying to make sense of the £75m rumours we are hearing while sat in the garden drinking!
