When Jurgen Klopp took over as Liverpool manager, he said in TV interview in answer to a question about wha he intends to do to change Liverpools fortunes, he replied that one of the first things was to change supporters opinions from doubters to believers.
Seems to me BRFC are starting to succeed in doing this with Wael in total control of the club and BG and his team making some impressive signings, training ground started etc etc.
I am certainly impressed thus far.

Until we next lose, then it will be everyone out again 😂 Absolutely guarantee there would be some numpties calling for Garner's head if we lose the first game.

Then it'll be "where's the Stadium", "where's the money gone now we've unloaded x,y,z", "I'm not paying for this anymore", the usual, from the usual.

Until we next lose, then it will be everyone out again 😂 There's changing views and then there's changing the inevitable. Based on our past I think it's almost inevitable that we won't win opening day. We're up to something like once since 2004 now right?

I think we beat Wimbledon in 2011/12 3-2 at their place, but otherwise have to go back to Mansfield and Scunthorpe in 04/05 and 03/04 respectively. Seem to be poor starters even before then.

We won Buckles first game live on TV against AFCW. But often when we won the first game we had a poor season (we won the first three under Gerry second time around and were only prevented from going out the league by an abject Halifax finishing below us).

16 years without an opening day win? Get outta here. Seriously? Shocking At least one small comfort might be we don’t get drawn away from home this year as the balloon fiesta won’t be on and I don’t think a clash with Bristol City will even matter with no crowds in attendance.

We won on the opening day against Wimbledon when they first returned to the league. It was also Buckle’s first game as manager. That ended well!

We can then accurately claim there were thousands locked out of our home games

Isn't that what Wilkimania said? Once since 2004. He didn't say the last opening day win was in 2004. The win in 2004 was 2-0 win against Mansfield on 7th August.

Absolutely guarantee there would be some numpties calling for Garner's head if we lose the first game. There's already numpties on here calling for that before the first game!! The only obvious numpties are those that think that the Sunderland win heralds in some hallelujah moment. This is the problem with Ben Garner, he talks a great game. His record is up there with the worst and circumstances have conspired to keep him there. Coughlan had us playing a certain way yet Garner decided to change it all, overnight. Despite saying he wouldn’t. It didn’t make sense then and still doesn’t. I pray that I don’t see the ball being rolled to Alfie in our own penalty area just to start our attack. But my fear is that this will be exactly what we see.
