Marcus McGuane [Nottingham Forest - Oxford] Loan Highly-rated former Arsenal, Barcelona and England youth. First English player to feature for Barcelona since Lineker. He could also be classed as the only "Irish" player to feature for Barcelona as well

Or English players? Or Irish players? Or maybe the Premier League is where it is at these days and players do not want to leave their home soil? The way Barca played yesterday, will anyone want to go there for a while except for the euros kudos?

Since the return from lock down there’s been some very strange things happening in football as well as other stuff. PL clubs have been training since July 2019. Poor Wolves whose season lasted more than a year. OK they’ve all had a wait and rest in lockdown but it was a kind of phoney rest so I don’t take much notice about some of the results. Barcelona still a top team and once they get a new manager, sign a few top players they will be there or thereabouts next season. As will Manchester City. Empty grounds have made for a very strange and unusual set of results imo. UTG!

Brentford allegedly paying £6.5m for Toney rising to £10m Rovers fans would've been calling him to be sold for a million if he was here and calling It a good deal

Toney's only had one average season with 16 goals and one good season with 24 goals, so god knows how Posh are now getting £6.5m rising to a possible £10m.

Posh are the perfect example to all clubs on how to buy players on the cheap and sell them for a massive profit.
They seem to manage it season after season

They apparently signed Toney for £650k. But they speculate to accumulate and seem to have a habit of being really good at it.

Gonna put my neck on the line and say I think Toney will prove a good buy for Brentford.

They've clearly got a good scouting set up etc, meanwhile in the past we had DC & SH deciding Nichols was a good buy at £350K, 3 years later he's been released on a free.

As much as i like JCH, Toney is a better all round striker. He basically has all the attributes that JCH, but with more pace and skill.

Peterborough bought Nichols mind ...And were clever enough to move him on after a year allegedly for a profit. They then used the fee (and a bit more) to sign Jack Marriott who scored 33 goals in a season and was sold on for £3million+.
