Can't really answer this until we sign a replacement for JCH. As it stands, I'm not happy with the squad because we don't have any strikers with football league experience or a history of scoring goals at this level. However, I'm confident we'll bring at least one in and that will determine whether I go into the season happy / optimistic or not. I thought we needed another before we lost JCH now I think we need two. Preferably an experienced goal scorer at this level and also someone younger with potential who’s been banging them in in league 2/ conference. To get that we probably need to spend most of the money from the JCH sale and whilst I’ve never known us do that perhaps we’ll spend more than we previously have now that we appear to be effectively debt free. Losing JCH is a blow but Wael not putting the money back in to the playing budget could be very detrimental to our club I don’t want to see us become the club with the best training facilities in league 2 next year and lots of young players with potential . Crewe we ain’t. Bump

Not that I think it will make any difference but Wigan have just lost their game in hand on us. If we could win a game we could drag ourselves out of the bottom 4, it's odd how easily the club seems to be just accepting relegation. Even the Campbell and DC teams put up a fight before succumbing to relegation.

I know the saying it’s the same for every club but I think for some clubs having fans in the ground is a bit of an advantage and for others it’s a massive one. Perhaps I’m biased in fact yeah of course I am but I genuinely feel that for us it’s a massive one home and away. Bristol Rovers without the likes of me being there is just another football club going through the motions.

Yeah hopefully but at the end of the day it’s more down to what we do than anyone else and if we follow our form over the season we’ll pick up about another 7-8 points and that don’t be enough. What other sides are doing only really matters In the last game , perhaps the penultimate game. Until then it’s on our club to pull ourselves out of this mess. I don’t think we will but until it’s mathematically f**ked we will always have that next game. Bring on Ipswich take the game to them and take our chances and we’ll get at least a point . Do what we’ve been doing most of the season and we’ll get FA

Up the Gills, you beauties. If you’re ever in Chatham police station I thoroughly recommend the frozen lasagna . If our league 1 survival relies on Wigan not picking up a point on a Wednesday night away to Gillingham and that’s a reason to be optimistic then we deserve to go down. We need to start winning games and if we do that our league 1 status will look after itself. Sod everyone else.
