Local Port Vale Chairperson spoke very well on National Radio hoping Prem clubs who have lots of TV revenue will bail us out.She also claims that with a stadium that holds 19,000 and 5000 season ticket holders,the Safe distancing wouldn't be a problem for them.

Talk of closing down the EFL until crowds are allowed back in. What would that do the players currently in contract? If we're still paying them how is it better than getting funds from iFollow?

This came up in March and I think clubs would be able to make players redundant, although I’m not sure at what cost. If there’s no role for the players to fulfil then this, I believe, is a possibility. |

I feel there’s a real possibility that the EFL 1 & 2 season will be wrapped up before Xmas. It’s unlikely IMO now that supporters will be allowed back into grounds this season. If 3/4 clubs enter administration it will make the whole structure of the league a bit of a farce under the current rules where clubs will be ‘docked’ points. It’s costing every club huge amounts of money for staging games, travelling and hotel costs etc with no revenue coming in or likely to be coming in for a long time yet.
Additionally, with the continuing spread of the virus and the possibility of it affecting players from many teams (eg Grimsby) and the impact of postponing matches and rearranging in an already tight fixture list, IMO will make completion of the season as a whole untenable.
Up until a week or so ago I was still hopeful that there would be at least limited crowds attending but this now seems unlikely to me.

Apparently there is some American Investment/Portfolio company working on a deal.
Apparently the idea is they will lend the EFL 200M quid, but the PL will pay the interest

If we’d have gone into this with the Wonga loan around our necks we would have been toast this season I thought the Wonga loan was taken so we could take Sainsburys to court and would be paid back from our compensation. We lost the case and another appeal would have been even more costly and a total gamble. Wael & co came in and cleared our debts and dropped the legal action. If that hadn't happened and no other investors came forward then there is a risk we wouldn't have even made it to the pandemic? |

Can't you leave the guy alone? Nick Higgs had his heart and soul in this club and tried,don’t deserve criticism especially when we don’t know how this would’ve affected us with him in charge. |
