Two wins on the trot for Ben Garner’s Rovers. Today’s display was the best by a long way under BG and he deserves some recognition tonight. He has taken a lot of stick since he took over as Rovers’ boss but hopefully we are starting to turn a corner. Well done Ben Garner.

I thought Garner got it tactically spot on and made the correct decision by sticking with the team that beat Northampton today, I think he is starting to work out what his best 11 is and that consistency should help the squad going forward.
We didn’t retreat into our shells as is easily done away to a good side but came out and played some really good stuff, I thought Garner made the right substitutions at the right times too.
People were always going to need some convincing that Garner was the right man to lead us this season after the record that he had and I think he’s going the right way towards doing it. Hopefully he has got a few more people back on board after today’s result.

Just got back to back league victories, we could easily lose the next two so still a lot to prove by BG, fair play to him and the team though they deserve full credit for two good displays and 6 points. Loads of good performances out there today.

I have always had faith he could get us playing and believe we are going the right way with bringing in young hungry players who are on the fringes of the 1st team but unable to break in. They will be hungry to succeed but will make mistakes but I can live with that. Well done BG keep up the good work it's enjoyable entertaining football we asked for and today that is what we got UTG

A long way to go to prove himself as a manager yet his overal record is still terrible but the last two games have shown that hopefully things are coming together at last. Today in particular was a fantastic performance and result. Hopefully we can keep it going . UTG !

Still early days yet but the more these young players play together the better they will get. He has signed some very good technical players, it was always gonna take time for them to gel together.
Really pleased for BG.

Fair play BG. Best performance by a mile. Credit where it is due. Deserved win against a ddcent team. All 3 performances have been decent this week but today was the best by a distance. So many good performances today.

A great 3 points today. Shows really good character to come back from behind to get the win against the team who was at the top of the table at the time. Also shows good character to win 2 in a row following a tough start, results and performances wise.
Im glad Wael has shown patience with BG, allowing him time to get his team going. Confidence and belief will be rising in the squad now. We won't win every game and won't perform this well every game. As it is still early days, there will be set backs but just keep remaining patient guys because we have seen a glimpse of what we are capable of under BG.

I’ve always felt BG needed to be given a bit of time this season although even my patience was being tested. He came in, tried to change the playing style, had a major family issue forcing him to take time out and then a season curtailed by lockdown. He’s now been able to build his own squad and have a bit of quality time on the training ground working with his players. It started slowly but there has been a steady game by game improvement. Hopefully it is sustained.
I have nothing against the fans who were concerned by results and wondered whether it was ever going to work under BG. However, the ones who need to hang their heads in shame are the ones who were most vocal, aggressive and abusive towards the manager (and to their fellow Gasheads) and who were willing to write off the new signings - many who are young and inexperienced. The odd fan or two are still trying to scapegoat the new signings, Westbrooke seems a popular one at the moment but he’s clearly talented and will win the visually challenged over.
UTG.

Massive win and huge credit to Garner and the squad. Lincoln had won all 4 games so far, and all tricky fixtures too, and we outplayed them at their own game at their ground. People were quick to dismiss last weeks game as Northampton were so poor and down to 10 men, I hope that both all the stick Garner has been getting is replaced with encouragement and also that he keeps this level of performance going. We have some more winnable games coming up and we need to turn two into three next week.
If we start to see this 'Garnerball' (an expression I hate as it's a style that countless teams play, its just rovers are traditionally a more direct hard working team than an intricate ball playing team) work on a weekly basis then win, draw or lose we can at least get encouragement from each game and have a positive season. This is a new, young team going through a huge change in personal and style and needed time. I think this is the start of something really positive for the club and I really hope us fans will be back to witness it soon! UTG

I think maybe no fans will do us all a favour and let him get to where he wants to be without that horrid atmosphere. Fingers crossed 🤞

I have to give Ben the credit he deserves for the impressive performances in the last 3 games and having watched every game on ifollow this season we are looking better with every game. Interesting that we look more solid and organised without Kilgore at the back (rumour is hes had a bust up with Garner) but we do look more solid and creative with each game that passes. BGs record is still awful but I'm slowly seeing a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel with him in charge. I think we are very fortunate to have a great keeper, 2 talented full backs and energy in midfield plus Hanlon who reminds me of a young Jason roberts! Daley looks like he could become a real talent with the right coaching too so I'm optimistic and feel a lot more positive than I was a couple of weeks ago. UTG!

The problem is that there is a minority of "fans" who want him to fail -so based on this they want the Gas to lose-just crazy-anybody can see what Garner is trying to achieve but he needs the time.GC will soon be sacked by Mansfield so no doubt they will put up the banners to bring him back. If that happens then happy we are not allowed in the stadium to watch his style of football. All i would ask of Garner/Wael is get another forward and who can score goals as that's all we need to be a good side with a good depth of young talent

Northampton I thought we were poor to average against what I think will probably transpire to be the worst side in the division. Yes we improved dramatically when they went down to 10 men, but then you'd expect that. Don't get me wrong, we deserved it in the end but I wasn't going to go overboard with that win.
Today though - superb.
Lincoln had won 4 from 4 this season. To put that into context, that's as many wins as Garner had managed his entire managerial career. So talk of "they've had easy games" was irrelevant IMO.
Had today have been a home game that would have been one thing, but to perform that well against a side bang in-form away from home was something else.
Yes we looked a little laboured at times in the first half, and I almost found myself shouting "take the handbrake off" Garner-esque at the iPad. But second half we were brilliant, and the way we responded to going a goal down was utterly superb.
Tutonda is too good for us based on what I've seen so far. Could that boy be the next Tyrone Mings? Bristol and onwards and upwards? You wouldn't rule it out based on his performances so far. And Daly really looking the part too. Massive shout out to Baldwin too who had a terrible start and was all but written off by almost everybody, but now looks like a key part of a much improved back line. But everyone to a man did brilliantly today.
Well done Gas. And a massive well done to Ben Garner. I've arguably been your biggest critic, but today you got it spot on.
Don't get me wrong, a couple of swallows don't make a summer, but I wanted to see obvious improvement and I'm seeing it.
Thoroughly well done too all.

Yeah fair play.I've not knocked him on a personal level, only due to his record and performances since taking over.
However credit where it's due, that's 3 really good performances in a row and done in the style of play that he is trying to bring to us.For me that is more important than the wins.If today or last week was won by luck then I would be 😨😕 be more concerned, but it was based on another really good performance.
Long way to go, but if we keep this up I'm willing to re- invest and give BG another crack.
