Charlton fan here. Great little player you've got. He's never really had a chance to get his feet under the table with us, but he did boss the game against Forest in the Championship last year when he got the space to operate and pull the strings. I think if you guys can make him a regular fixture in the team and if possible set the team up to let him play, then he'll be an excellent signing. Slightly surprised we have let him go as you'd tend to think he would be a great asset for League One, but obviously just not in the manager's plans. Good luck for the season! What is his work rate like? Does he press? I remember his close control is superb and very skillful. Not his strength but equally he's not a lazy player. He's busy enough. Just needs consistent football I believe. I think many of our fans are not so bothered because we've got a new owner with a bit of money, and are somewhat optimistically hoping that by Oztumer leaving that we've got more room within the salary cap to get in a "marquee" signing in the striking department. I don't think any Charlton fans will say the talent isn't there, and first 11's were being posted earlier today with Oztumer part of it. Only reason he's being let go on loan is for salary cap/manager's playing style I assure you, and I still think we will be complaining about him being gone when we pick up an injury or 2. Anyway, from the chat on here it sounds like you've got a good team for the season so I do question the wisdom of loaning him out to you when we have grand designs on promotion ourselves (despite our lowly current position in the table).

Clever Signing! We have experienced players in Ezhemer & Jakola in defense to guide the youngsters. We were lacking that leadership up top which I think this brings. I think he will be played as a second striker, not an attacking midfielder. We will see! Whichever way a great signing for us while weakening another team in our division at the same time! Great effort combining two players names into one.
Yep - Got that one wrong or......... Trying to demonstrate the high level of unity in the team?

What is Bowyer's playing style out of interwst? I think he could really suit how we are trying to play.

Blimey, getting a bit crowded at The Mem? would imagine gonna be hell of a job to accommodate every one and give them game time, nice problem to have though i suppose? With the fixtures coming thick and fast and disruption possible with further lockdowns, we are preparing to play 2 games at the same time each Saturday (one home and one away) in February and March....................

It's yet to be seen what his formation will be for this season. But being a box to box midfielder in his playing days, I don't think he's such a fan of central playmaker types like Oztumer who are best when they are released from defensive duties. Bowyer has it in for another of our attacking midfielders also for this reason. I think Oztumer will work best with a couple of midfielders behind him. Can't see how he could fit into a 4-4-2. Just my opinion.

Dare I say it, a marquee signing. Albeit on loan. to go with the tents we already have?

Amazing have bored you before but wael wanted him when DC was here, he is an amazing talent, shame the ground is not open as he would have the Turkish fans and some part time fans clamouring to see him, he is that good. Amazing statement of intent UTG

Unreal. Class player. Where does everyone fit in though?! Going to be hard to keep the squad happy.
Really hope Ben has figured out how to manage..

Well, bloody hell...
Will be really interesting to see where he fits into BG’s XI (as you can’t imagine he’s come here to sit on the bench!). Seen him play as a #6, #8 and #10 at various points for Walsall.
Potentially a superb signing.

Completely shocked by this one, potentially a fantastic signing and hopefully the creativity in the final 3rd that we appeared to lack. Will certainly be interesting to see how BG fits him into the side, agree with others that have said there might well be some departures now especially if Koiki also arrives

The thought of Oztumer, Tutonda and Westbrooke in the same team really excites me. There's an awful lot of quality and technical ability there, hopefully they can bring the best out of each other.

I wonder whether BG will be tempted to go back to his 343 now we have some threat from the wingback areas and two proper #10s in the squad...
