But MK dons were promoted to league one in 2018-19 with Tisdale in charge. I was refering to Exeter, not withstanding he has NO experience of the Championship. Really this season is already a write off. Next season well maybe we might be better if we get another decent forward in, but I cannot see a top 6 place for a few years, and some of us might not be around then. I certainly dont believe I will see a new ground in my life time. Why do you bother supporting Rovers as you rarely post anything positive about the club? If Tis can sort out our defence there's no reason we can't push for a top 6 place, although we haven't pushed for one of those since it all went two wrong under Holloway anyway, so it's not like supporting Rovers just revolves us being top 6 challengers every season.

Beechen Cliff was the Grammar School for boys back in the dark ages, they've always clung to that image. The academic results are good, but it's a bit all fur coat and no knickers if you want your child to have a well rounded education. I believe that Tisdale won a scholarship to do A levels at Millfield School, and chose this over doing a football apprenticeship with Southampton. It's a fairly relaxed environment which a lot of kids thrive in, money or excelling at sport gets you in. I think that he's somebody who made the right choices, and grasped opportunities when they presented themselves - a good grounding for life in general. A couple of our players have been to University, so you do get all types of background in a dressing room these days. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with this group of players, and have fairly high hopes of it being a good appointment in the long term. I went to BCS (cathedral school) and scraped into the football team. Remember playing Millfield away and it was a different world in terms of facilities. Can see why it’d be attractive if you’re into sport ... and rich of course. (Think we got stuffed about 9-0 if I recall).

I went to BCS too and we beat Millfield but I think we played their 4th team or something. Also played against PT when he played for Parkway. Scored my first ever goal as we went on to lose 11-1....!

I'm happy with the appointment of Tisdale. He has a record of achievement and knows the lower leagues well.
He has considerable managerial experience, appears to favour a brand of attacking football and has acquired a reputation for developing young promising players. On that basis, he appears to be just what we need.

Got a good feeling about Tisdale, clearly going to fit in with Wael and his gang; hopefully saves his best for West Country clubs and why would anyone want to spend more than a year in Milton Keynes anyway? Because they have a fantastic Ground and training ground? The ground might be fantastic but a soulless 3/4 empty bowl next to a Nandos on the outskirts of bumfcuk East Midlands ain’t my idea of what it’s all about Gimme the mem and Glos Road and 9000 gas heads every time

Good interview from the new gaffer. I have to say it's really hard not to take to him. I know he comes across as a "softy" like Ben, but there is a real charisma about him. Actually feeling cautiously optomistic he could be the perfect appointment. All the best Tis! UTG!! Personally speaking I'd say the man has the charisma of a tree stump. However, I'm backing the Tis! 😎 Hoping the nerves in the interview were from getting a call on Wednesday, that went Wael: "Hi Paul, you saw we sacked Ben? We want you to take the job, you start tomorrow" Tis > "Ummmm, well.... It's a bit out of the blue but a job I'd love to take, and I need a job... Timing could of been better but I'll pack an overnight bag" Wael: "We're giving you a 2.5 year contract, obviously the job security in this industry is cut throat, so.... Good luck, see you in the morning"
