3rd sentence settle for a point ! Great looks we in for exciting times Ahead ! Personally bit worried about that hope wrong but who knows we shall see This is being taken massively out of context. He says with the manner of the game he’d have been happy to have got a point. If a manager is 3-0 down at half time then this turn of phrase is acceptable. Why is it not acceptable when a new manager comes in with no idea what changes to make as he hasn’t met everyone yet? And when his coaching staff have the same tired ideas the last manager had?

I don't understand the negative reaction to PT post match interview?
Please, explain if I'm missing something....
With regards to happy with a point, PT stressed as the game went on.... that's fair enough, he was settling for not losing in latter stages of the match. I think that's fair enough.
When asked what he needs to make right, PT said he'd keep that behind closed doors. Some might like this, some might not, but it's obvious his style of management isn't to publicly blame individuals. I think that's fair enough, isn't it?
PT implied we appeared to relax after the 1-0 down with nothing to lose, and again I think he has a point. Swindon offered nothing in the second half up until their goal, we had nothing to lose and had two chances in quick succession. Fair enough evaluation?
PT said step by step change. Again, explicitly, we have seen the effects of dismantling a play off places team within a year - relegation threatened - so if PT adopts a smart stance if retaining what's good, working on more of what isn't, it appears a fair enough philosophy to adopt?
I took more heart from PT post match comments rather than the complete bollox spoken by BG looking to not take responsibility and insult intelligence by feigning delusion. As ever, PT will be judged on performances and results, so jury is definitely out for me. I thought we were unlucky to lose yesterday, but not even he alluded to that.
....or am I wrong on all counts?

Substitutions were to late in the game. I hope this isn't an early insight into the type of Substitutions hes going to make when he does them as any school boy could see they were entirely wrong. Players only came alive after going a goal down, the mentality needs to be that they believe they are one goal down from kick off. These aren't ground breaking tactics and easily fixed, the problems that are going to make a difference on whether we stay up these season are bigger. Disgraceful defending Particularly from set pieces. Potentially one fit striker. Also need a proven striker. Captain not worthy of armband Playing from the back hasn't and isn't going to work. Formation wrong? Do we have the players to play our best formation? (probably not) To much choice of players in some areas, little or no choice in others. Players not played in their strongest positions. These problems are far harder to fix, start of the season I was saying we were a top ten team and hoping for top 6. Let's not get carried away, its still early in the season to be saying we're going down, but its going to be a struggle for sure and unless we, at the least, sort out our defence, Its going to be a difficult season to watch. I do still think we have the quality of players to stay up so long as the gaffer can get them playing to their full potential

I’ll go with o2 on this, just about right. Don’t know what else he could say. I felt the goal was Jaakola’s fault but it would have been unfair to single him out in post match press conference. Especially as he’s been our best player so far this season. But I’m sure it will be mentioned in the dressing room which is the right place to do it. He put down a few beliefs didn’t he? We attack and defend as a team and what I’ve got to say to the players will be said in the dressing room. Fair comments imo. UTG!

Tisdale's main, or at least first, task is to get Ehmer to be the leader, organiser and captain we all thought we were getting. Possibly going to a back 4 could be the way to get that process started?

PT is just another journey man-The whole point with BG he was not. He was brought in with a oppurtunity to build something good and sustainable. Look back at Octobers results, they were going the right way. BG would have kept us in Div 1 and carried on rebuilding. PT will take us down and then another sacking and another journey man. The board should have stuck with Garner,it was obvious there would be ups and down due to the age of the squad but they panicked and as I see it made the wrong decision. Only time will tell and I hope I am wrong

Only time will tell as the debate rages on.

Only time will tell and I hope I am wrong Hardly a journeyman he has had one year managing outside of Exeter in the last twelve years or more. He has been on the forum radar every time we have changed manager during that time. It never worked for him at MK despite getting them promoted suddenly he's yesterday's man. I would have given Garner longer, but it was hard to argue against the decision to let him go after the Fleetwood debacle. So we move on. We can't keep harping back looking at every previous manager with rose tinters we have to live in the here and now Tisdales our manager and rovers are our team and every true gashead should get behind them. I think Tisdale could be a decent manager you and others think differently, but slagging him off and then saying I hope I'm wrong is not support. Why don't you give the guy a chance to prove you wrong and if it goes tits up you can smugly say I told you so.
