What a breath of fresh air this bloke is to listen to.
Speaks with an honesty, authority & clarity that I can really get behind.

What you want to hear from the manager. Especially the business approach to winning games. As others have said, it's this pragmatism gained from experience that suggests he has more minerals for the job than the previous manager.
He's still learning about the players and bits of the game were a good opportunity to find out more as he pointed out.
Did anyone else hear him on the touchline too? I think I heard him shout "play when we can" a couple of times in the first half. Followed by Hare playing it up the line (presumably instead of across the defence?). So maybe he has identified the sideways passing as something to change immediately.

Very good realistic post match interview, how the hell that highly recommended automaton last manager kept a job for 11 months is unbelievable. He's got a hell of a job in front of him starting on Wednesday keeping the club in Div 1, it won't be easy with so many bantamweights in the side. At least Tisdale looks the part and respects his position at the club unlike the bloke who appears as if he's slept in his car all night and then represents the club.

You managed to get 2 negatives into a post praising an interview. Standard.

lose the next three games and whatever he sounds like at interviews the knives will be out I don’t think they would. Context is very different from when Garner took charge. 1) under Garner we were doing well before his appointment, following him coming in we did shockingly and he made lots of changes too quickly which arguably caused that. We were most likely heading for the relegation spots anyway under Garner 2) Tisdale interviews well and sees stuff we might not see to improve the team. Garner denied the existence of the problems we could all see. 3) Tisdale has picked up Garners mess. It will take time to turn around. Many of us recognise that and will have patience as rome wasn’t built in a day. 4) We are lacking in attacking players before injuries, especially now most are injured, so we are on the back foot until the January window and expectations are lowered for many.

Don’t see it myself. I think the interviews are fine but nothing insightful as such. Keeps saying about being business like, which ties more in with his management work outside of football. I’m really hopeful of seeing a bit more from him and the identity he wants from the team, something we can all get behind. To be fair to the fella, one week and 3 games!

Honestly what a breath of fresh air. Not going to lie, starting to get butterflies..... could he be our next DC? What PT has done in one week and 3 matches is go some way to unite the fanbase. Not just the players' performance, but he can demonstrate he knows the players and game enough to make effective change, and show some idea of being honest after the event. PT has a charisma about him, much like DC and it's easy to warm to him in these initial stages. As ever, he'll be judged on results but it's a reasonable start... even though I've been personally disappointed with 1 point from 2 poor opponents.

I don’t think you can underestimate the importance of the demolition job Garner did on the team and how that would have gone down with some fans. For me personally when I was told he had got the job I was gobsmacked- not so much if we were mid table but giving the reins when we were in 4th to s guy with no experience was just bloody ridiculous in theory and it proved to be bloody ridiculous in practice! But I gave him a few games to prove me wrong and yet it was clear from the start despite what he said that he was intent on changing a winning team. That really put me off him and his failure to navigate a few wins while he tinkered with the team was the beginning of the end for him in my own estimation. Throw in his dire media personality (as you say he tried to tell us that the problems we could see weren’t there!) and it was very hard to wish the guy any sort of success at all personally although obviously I didn’t want the club to continue losing games. Completely different situation this time round. Tisdale has come in on a hiding to nothing. He can’t really male us much worse and his engaging honesty and and high standards means he will have a fair bit of goodwill, I think. Having a bullshit merchant like Garner is a reminder of how important it is for managers to take ownership in order to keep fans onside. I recall DC saying in that gascast that the advice he would give to his younger self would be “be honest with the fans”. The difference in enthusiasm between us now and when Garner was here shows how important that really is in football.

Don't see what everyone else has seen with these interviews. They're fine, but nothing to get excited about. Remember Garner's early press interviews being highly praised. This soon wore off. If we go on a bad run, we will say the same about Tis.

Change the parameters, move the goalposts and then take portion of a post out of context. Nowhere in anyone's post would say it's reasonable if same results (not reults)led to relegation. If anyone is interested, my original post above ended with "as ever he'll be judged on results..."

Not sure why people get so excited by post match interviews. DC was like a stuck record - praising the fans to get them onside is fine a couple of times, but to do it after every match as he did meant it lost its meaning. GC was not a great PR guy but I never felt he gave bad interviews. BG's interviews were no better or worse than most managers - all pretty meaningless in the immediate aftermath of a match. And PT's have also been fine, no problem, but I don't think we learnt much from them nor would I expect to. I see the games myself, can see who played well and who played badly, not sure why we should get excited about the manager saying we need to be business like and win matches. Well, yes, that sounds like a good idea
