I would personally want Chorley or another Non League club. If we can keep progressing then the revenue should be helpful and gives us a bigger chance of drawing a top team.

I’d be a bit gutted if this was the year we drew a top team away in the FA Cup. I would love an away day to Man Utd or Liverpool.

I'd want the lowest ranked team we can get in each round we get into.
Our luck of drawing a big team would be wasted with no one being able to go so we may as well get lower ranked teams and try and get further to earn more out of the competition.

Can anyone clear up budget issues. I know 2.5 mil is our maximum. However under fair play rules . It states " any money from fa cup runs are excluded from budget cap ". What does this mean ??.
So far we made about 100k from cup runs .

It would be just our luck to get a massive draw away at Old Trafford or Anfield and not be able to go. Lowest ranked club at home for me.

But what does it actually mean? "Payments directly linked to a Club’s progression in cup competitions or promotion are excluded from the Cap, while any income generated from players going out on loan is deducted from the Club’s Salary Cap calculation." I assume it is implies the cap stays at £2.5m regardless of cup income so why when then bother mentioning it? It's a bit off though, a team could earn upwards of £1m from a good cup run but then can't spend it on players wages.

Especially with no fans it would be a bummer to have to watch a game away at Old Trafford in your own home instead of enjoying the day like you usually could.

So why are EFL mentioning it unless the answer is YES YOU CAN !.

Lowest ranked team at home. Hopefully get through to the fourth round to play Liverpool which is delayed until 2022 when we might have just made the move to Tier 1.
