As I was mentioned, I think it only fair to reply.
Someone has posted that Wael heads a bank. No he doesn't.
LJG talks b*ll*cks all the time so can't be bothered with his inane ramblings.
With regard to whether or not Wael has cleared the debt, its simple. Let him come out and say so, and when he did it. As for the charge on the Mem? In fact, when Wael made his announcement about the debt being cleared, the rapturous welcome that he got on here was something to behold. I stated that there was no benefit to us clearing the debt as it made no difference to our position, unless Wael was looking to offload the club ( not the stadium, just the club). I was pilloried for that, and now low and behold, the couple of hundred accountants on here are now using that fact in defence of their previous raptures. It's a bit like all you guys out there ( you know who you are) who were saying how great all the signings were, and then when Garner was rightly sacked, and he should have been at the curtailed end of last season, they now heavily criticise them.
Wael s spokesman on here (1981 for those who don't know) seems to be showing up a split in the boardroom. If you look on his twitter feed, he confirms we are the richest club in league1 and that Tisdale should never have been appointed. I can only assume that as he represents Waels views on everything, Wael must have confirmed his wealth to him, and that Wael did not want Tisdale appointed. So if Starnes appointed Tisdale, the writings on the wall for him now.
We've even had the suggestion from a moderator that criticism of the board in general, and Wael in particular should not be allowed. Isn't that how dictatorships begin? If everyone in the boardroom are yes men to Wael, that is a mighty dangerous position for our club. Someone has to be able to query daft decisions without fear of being removed. Hence why 1981 should never become a fans director. He would just agree everything without querying obvious errors in the decision making.
As for Swissgas, well, it's obvious that he is being criticised by some on here simply because they don't understand the nuances of finance and legal requirements in the UK.
The moderators on here are out of touch. They think that because 20/30 regular posters on here back everything Wael says or does, they have the backing of the fans for their point of view. I suggest they look at Twitter, Facebook, and other forms of social media.
Wael is not the villain that people on here try to pretend that people like me and Swissgas etc are supposedly saying, he has quickly fallen into the same trap that Nick Higgs did, namely ' it's my money and I will do it my way'. Nick failed, and now Wael is surrounding himself with yes men. What he needs to do is appoint people that are prepared to challenge him on his ongoing philosophy for pushing this club up to the championship. If everybody around him just agrees with everything he does he will think he is infallible. And that he AINT.

Add that GI latest conspiracy that the Wael wanted the SC to pay for a training ground for the youth team... Swiss, you have been banging this drum since August on the other forum and you haven’t bothered to contact Wael or Martyn to raise your concerns. You say you asked Taylor Wessing but they didn’t come back to you. That doesn’t really surprise me. If I was a fairly big company, I wouldn’t waste my time with a supporter of a football club that lives in America and never goes anyway. It was for the rent pal. As for Swissgas not being worthy as he lives in America, does that make me more worthy than you as I go to all the games, but you don't? What a childish response.

You forgot shipping out JCH last January, not paying for the fence, having no money and Wael being a Walter Mitty character among many other stories peddled by a handful of posters on here. All total bollocks. And some of them even pretend they have backed Wael all along! Wael said he would bring evolution and make us self sustaining. Its painful at the moment, but he is doing just that. He said he would sort out our training facilities. Hes done that. He said he would drag us into the 21st century. He has done that. He has said he will deliver a ground..... Meanwhile the same handful of people continue to try to undermine him and as usual no proof is ever forthcoming. So until you actually have any credible evidence that Wael isn’t going to do what he says he is going to do, then I’m afraid there isn’t much mileage in continuing to pedal it on either forums. What exactly are you hoping to gain from it? That people suddenly pick up their pitchforks and burning effigies of our owner? If I wrote to Wael or Martyn it would be to suggest that it is in Rovers best interest to clarify the position on the debt capitalisation. But by posting it here the same effect has been achieved. They may decide to ignore it, because I am a supporter who lives in America and never goes anyway, or they may decide to consider the reasons I have given for it being better for the club if they did. I wonder whether in another walk of life, say with a supplier or customer or staff member or bank, you would be quite so relaxed about them saying they had done something important and then finding out later they had not done it ?

I doubt they ever visit here. So it’s kind of all in vain don’t you think?

Swiss I don’t think it’s about being captivated by Wael, just more that some like me are willing to trust him and his word based upon what he has done so far rather than not when personally I can’t see anything factual that says he hasn’t or won’t (companies house doesn’t and won’t show he hasn’t as other posters have pointed out). Please let us know what it is that makes you not trust him ? If I gave you a full answer to that question blue stick I would upset even more posters. Basically I disagree completely with the statement “Wael has done what he said he would do”. From the young Jordanian player he brought over through evolution not revolution, ten stadium experts, Fruit Market in two years and financial sustainability right up to the state of the art training ground where the whole club could be based, he has failed to do what he indicated he would. It is not a lack of trust in his sincerity or any feeling that Wael is putting his own financial interest first (quite the opposite) it is his lack of competence which is the problem for me. And, as walthamstowgas posted on the other thread, he has surrounded himself with “people I can trust” rather than people who would have the experience and ability to move Rovers forward because those kind of people would undoubtedly challenge him. Thank you for the reply Swiss.... I can see where you are coming from but I don’t necessarily agree but everyone is entitled to their viewpoint. FWIW my views on the topics you raised are that a) he took a gamble on the Jordanian player. It was a small risk as it was a development player who had some talent (he was part of the Jordanian international youth set up) that was hopefully going to progress and if successful would have generated a new market of fans in Jordan just like clubs try to achieve when tapping into Asia with players and friendliest etc. It didn’t work out unfortunately for whatever reason. I don’t personally think Wael can be criticised for that; b) the exerts - I don’t think we can say he didn’t employ them just because the stadium has fallen through / stagnated. Quite often experts are brought in and this happens for a variety of reasons and many not in the clubs control and as reasons have never been disclosed it is pure speculation as to what exactly has happened; c) Fruitmarket - again no one really knows what’s going on here and the pandemic as well as factors out of the clubs or Waels control may have or be influencing this. At the time he said those comments he may very well have believed it as that was what he had been told and what the plans he may have seen may have suggested. However, I seem to remember that at the time he didn’t actually say we’d be playing in the stadium and it was us fans interpreting it that way (but I could be completely wrong here as I can’t exactly remember) and lastly the training ground - we still may get the state of the art facilities. The project has been re-phased not stopped and if the pitches are anything to go by, then I certainly think we will have something pretty special there - just maybe not in the timeframe that was first mentioned, and rightly so in my eyes that it was re-phased to be incremental build rather than ‘all at once’ as the one off financial strain would be massive and make it even harder to become a sustainable club. I do believe we will in time become financially sustainable, but it will take years and years due to the inherited and ongoing accruing debt, the gradual cultural shift in the clubs DNA to change from overspending on established and journeymen players that lose value to younger talent with potential who grow in value... Finally the board - I don’t believe he’s surrounded by yes men. Saying that I feel is disrespectful to Widdrington and Gorringe who I feel are extremely capable and talented in their roles - especially Gorringe, just look at the great improvements he’s brought in commercially. The may be supportive in the general direction Wael is taking us, but I bet damned sure they’d question and challenge him if needed. Ultimately Wael is the majority shareholder and can have final say but I don’t think he’d alienate the others by just walking all over them. The key here though is to get the new SC director in ASAP but that is down to the SC not Wael. However, I respect your view and understand maybe why you post and ask what you do.

Every single one of your arguments against Wael displays an agenda. So you say he’s surrounded himself with yes men, have any proof of that? No benefit to Wael clearing the debt, care to expand on that? You won’t though will you, you’ll continue to spout more spurious claims that you can’t back up.

The original post was mine and nothing to do with the clubs finances. However i would like to post what i put this afternoon: i was answering the query as to why there is nothing on the Companies House website to suggest that the debt has been paid off: " If the debt has been written off then that will show on the balance sheet which is published with the annual accounts - nowhere else. They have not been published since Wael made his comments nor should they be. The next accounts will be posted in March 2021. What is more - if Wael did it after 30th June 2020 then it will be on the balance sheet published in March 2022 - so expect more scaremongering if it does not appear in the next set of accounts. Many assumptions are being made just because Rovers have a continuing facility to draw down £10 million from Dwane Sports. They may not even be using it although i suspect that they are otherwise Wael will need to be continuing to pump money in as they go along - that is not the way to run a business. I cannot think of any valid reason why they should opt to close the facility. Dont get me wrong, Wael may not have cleared the debt, but then equally he may have done so. It is down to whether you trust him. You simply cannot tell from the information lodged with Companies House. i am not sure whether the comments being made are by people who just havent really thought what they are saying , whether they know something that is not in the public arena or whether they are deliberately stirring up ill feeling and panic within true supporters. If someone would like to tell me why my comments are invalid then please do so!! I like the cut of his jib . Not for a minute do I think he’s doing us over , pulling the wool over our eyes etc. I could be wrong but I’ll trust my instincts on this rather than tittle tattle from the usual(ly wrong !) suspects

If everybody around him just agrees with everything he does he will think he is infallible. And that he AINT. GI, I fully understand the nuances of UK finances and regulations as work in that environment as my day job. I’m not an accountant though and so whilst I have a very strong understanding of how it all works, I don’t profess or pretend to be an expert and so I have only explained what I understand (but have also said that I could be wrong). My biggest issue with your comments though are you saying that Wael should come out and say whether he’s cleared the debt or not. He’s already done that and it is you and Swiss who are questioning it. Why don’t you ask him or Martyn or Tommy or Tom directly and give them something to respond to rather than posting on here before they’ve even been asked? You say Wael is surrounded by yes men but as I posted earlier I disagree. However, it’s fine for us to have different views. Who would you suggest be brought to the board? May in a Non Executive Director type role or as a Consultant? Also, Swiss answered my question as to why he was ‘concerned’ about Wael , could you do the same? It would maybe help us understand where you’re coming from and why. Finally, I think the recruitment this summer was really strong. Some players haven’t yet performed to their full potential and we need to remember they are all very young so inconsistency will always be there, but I do think they will come good - as today’s performance showed they have capability of achieving. I was also supportive of BG and felt he may have been sacked too quickly but I understand why he was and I’m pleased with Tisdales appointment and hopeful that he will lead onto good things. There are a few posters on here who have jumped about a bit on this but many are like me and have been pretty consistent in our thinking.... As for Facebook and social media - that is a poor example to use as everyone who uses it knows, it is highly fickle, often infiltrated by non gas fans, an extremely small representation of the fan base (like on here), usually commented on by people with strong polarising views and highly dependent on match results or people’s political, social economical, demographic and educational views and backgrounds.

Your criticism of the Moderators is out of touch, you only come on here peddling the same, I know something you don’t, for most it gets tiresome, boring and repetitive. Try commenting on what is going on, on the pitch.

You say I’m Wael’s spokesman and agree with everything but also post that according to my Twitter feed that I don’t agree agree with Tisdales appointment. Which I don’t. So that means I don’t agree with everything out owner does... I wouldn’t say all the mods here are out of touch. We all think you’re a bit of a bitter old berk. Which I would say puts them right on the pace. So he also speaks for the moderators.

You being somewhat of a nause about the only evidence you have provided on here.

That was said about a year ago when I mentioned the training ground development was about to start and 1981 said if it was true they would have announced it themselves. They did so, the following week. More inane ramblings.

You don't know what's true and what isn't. You haven't got a clue. Tell me again how much debt is being capitalised? Tell me again how you've checked the records of a Jersey registered company on Companies House in the UK? You think people are stupid, honestly. Calm down and think about it logically. BRFC 1883 Ltd owed Dwane Sports £18.4 million and we were told that to repay this loan they had issued shares to Dwane Sports Ltd. The outcome of that would have been Dwane Sports owning more shares in BRFC 1883 Ltd and BRFC 1883 Ltd no longer owing Dwane Sports the £18.4 million. But it didn’t happen because if it had done it would show on the Companies House registry. Bringing up the subject of Dwane Sports shares and the Jersey companies registry isn’t going to please those who would rather these matters were kept under wraps. My last search showed that Dwane Sports was owned by two nominee companies so it is impossible to tell who the beneficial owners are. However in June there was much jubilation when we were told that Dwane Sports was now 90% owned by Wael and 10% owned by Samer with Hani completely out of the picture. We have to assume this is actually the case but, as I said before, when some statements which have been made are proven to be false it is bound to sow doubt in the mind about others. I actually like the stuff you post about football on here. I really wish you would stop trying to put one over on people with this crap. You've tried to cultivate this persona of someone with specialist knowledge in corporate finance but you've made it obvious that either that is a lie and you know f**k all or your "concerns" such as this one are disingenuous and you're a pot-stirring twat. I really hope you're thick and not a twat. You still haven't answered my questions: 1. How much debt is to be capitalised. Remember that your frequently quoted debt figure is £24m. 2. How are you checking the filing history of a Jersey registered company at Companies House as you have been claiming (until this thread I notice)?
